I've been trying to do the big metroid skip, but I simply can't seem to short charge like it's done in TASes. The skip requires an 11-tile distance, and I can only barely do it in 15 tiles. I move far less than four tiles on the initial stutter walk before the first tapping of the run button, so it's not just that that's messing me up. I've posted a 15-tile charge (in 1.51, sorry, it's all I have) if people want to see my method and whatever errors I'm making. My current method (at 20% speed, as that's all I have) is: I hold right for a moment to build a tiny bit of velocity, then spam right to keep minimum speed until I hit the run button on the backswing of Samus' elbow (I only hold run for about three or four frames). Each subsequent backswing, I tap run again, and tap down at the same time I tap run the fourth time.
