Does 3 problems count as a lot now? I originally had a beta tester, but I guess I wanted to get this hack out before I left for vacation. Maybe a little rushed? Anyways, I think after Croco there shouldn't be major game freezing problems like after kraid. I will try to cover these unfortunate events up after I come back from London in a few weeks.
If you could that would be great. If the spikes are the problem, it shouldn't be too hard. If you fix it please send the ips to xmetroidbolo@yahoo.com, and I will upload it on the main page. Yo?
This removes the spikes that cause Crocomire to get stuck. Sadly, Crocomire isn't very hard at all without the spikes. Even the GD version is probably harder.
The problem is that the rest of the bosses up to Gold Torizo are more of the same stuff Kraid/SporeSpawn were. Because of the randomness of Phantoons appearances and your low e-tank/missile count, it becomes a game of loadstate. Pretty much the same for Botwoon, since his little green bloopers deal nearly 1etank worth of damage when your max is 2. Since I consider save state abuse to basically be cheating, in the words of this nut: video.google.com/videoplay?docid=6485013263946560647, "The only way to win is to cheat." Also, because you face the bosses with such low supplies, it doesn't really require creative room design to make them hard or anything and most of the boss rooms after Phantoon are virtually the same as SM's.
Anyway, I warn you, I don't think anyone will be able to beat Gold Torizo given only 20 super missiles. And even if they do, there are more problems ahead, since, according to SMILE, this is what the room after him looks like:
Edit: I have downloaded smile on my laptop, and I fixed Croco. Unfortunately, I cannot get ahold of an ROM to test. If anyone hasn't given up on this hack and wants to see if everything's in order, please don't hesitate. Thank you.
Ok, on this IPS ("ROM") exist a very weird bug, when i go to the next room onto beat the Torizo (onto the original Super Metroid the Screw Attack guard) and i see very much tiles... And i have a video if you see this.
Yeah, I gave up on this hack, and to be honest it was actually a test I wanted to do in some rooms. There's too many errors, and chances are no one will play it anymore after it works, since I was stupid. Best to let this topicdrift to the back >_>
I gave this a look through in SMILE, and I must say, whatever you did to mess up GT's after room, you did a pretty damn good job. I even tried changing around some of the door destinations, but it appears that no matter what I tried to do, the door after GT ends up leading to a jumbled mess. I think this one may be unsolvable.
