Thanks! By the way I found a glitch(I think) when i fought Kraid..
I screw-attacked his stomach and like a spinning wheel and out of my control this happened(I didn't have to touch the game pad and I didn't get hit in this position)

edit:
when I hit the down-button the screw attack stopped and most of the times I tried it I could position Samus just in front of Kraids mouth and give him massive amount of damage. The only problem was to stay away from his arm/hand
Fun little hack considering so little is changed, although there has to be a way to make Kraid difficult but not so annoying.  Phantoon was pretty funny.  I wish I had found the varia suit on my own, although even getting to it was quite difficult.

Don't worry. On my next hack, I'm making Super Metroid RBO Impossible. It is similar to Saturn's hack. There are big change compare to original RBO hack. I'm almost finish with this hack and it should done soon. Are you ready for it?

Kraid will be about 6 times harder than RBO original.

EDIT: It's finally out right now. Go ahead and try them!
What'd you say?
Alright, i'm stuck I believe. I fought the bomb chozo guardian and recieved nothing for it.  d'oh!

Item list:
Energy Tank: 1
Missiles: 20

Misc.:
Morphing ball
Bomb
Screw attack
There IS an hidden item in this room, but you need to find it.
What'd you say?
Is 6 e-tanks and 1 reserve enough for LN? I'm already in LN and i don't want to go back.

Time bomb set get out fast!
I'm surprised this thread has seen so little activity.  (Less than either of its sequels, in fact.)  I haven't beaten the hack yet, but I'm really enjoying it.  The concept is brilliant -- lots of us Super Metroid fans are intrigued by the idea of a reverse-order run, but don't have nearly the skill required to execute one.  This hack makes RBO the intended route while at the same time making it easier to pull off.

For the record, it's possible to have at least eight energy tanks and two reserves before hitting Lower Norfair.  That's what I've got, and I'm pretty sure it's the maximum.  When searching, be aware that just as some rooms now require more powerups to get through, others don't require as many as they used to.

A couple of spoilery comments:
  • One of my favourite bits of SM trivia is that the screw attack does bomb-type damage to blocks.  (I was dismayed when they changed that in Zero Mission.)  It's cool but not especially important.  So it's neat to see a hack which counts on the player knowing that.
  • Similarly, the use of the Torizo is brilliant.  Anyone who's played with the space-time beam will know that having the bomb upgrade is what triggers that fight, even if you already have them when you enter the room.  But even though I knew that, I was stuck after getting the bombs for quite a while -- the first two times I started this hack.  Very sneaky.
Playing Super Metroid non-stop since 1994 =)
Hi! I just downloaded patch, but when I started playing, Samus just went down the elevator while everything was "blue-ish", no graphics at all but the blue background and Samus' sprite... Can someone tell me what's going on? (I used the auto-patch from ZSNES).

Did you check your setting on zsnes? It sounded like you disabled certain layer. There's nothing wrong with this hack unless you patched this with header rom. You may need to check your setting (try shortcut key too such as "1" or "2").

I did, twice. So it must be a problem with the rom? I've used the same one with other hacks without trouble at all. (I use folders for each hack inside ZSNES' main folder, and just copy the back-up rom in each subfolder, no problems at all).

I can see why you're having problem. You patching this hack with HEADER rom. You need to patch this hack with UNHEADER rom. You can fix this by downloading smile to remove header (be sure to back up your clean rom). This patch is for unheader only.

This is a problem you're talking about, right?

To fix this, just load your clean header rom, and then follow the rest in the picture below.

You're pretty good  grin new

Thanks!
GOOD GOOD JOB! GREAT
i hate hyper metroid kraid
Am I the only one who is having a hard time even getting started? I have 15 missiles, the morph ball, and the screw attack. Can someone please tell me what I have to do?

Wait do people even use this anymore?
No, they don't, and you're kind of lucky to have a quick response in here anyway. SM hacking folks are on the Metroid Construction forum ( http://metroidconstruction.com/ ), but also mainly in the corresponding Discord server: https://discordapp.com/invite/xDwaaqa
In that hack, if I remember correctly, you have to go through the so-called Gauntlet in Crateria, the upper mountain cave path leading to the far west, and continue downwards. There'd also be my video that shows how to progress through this hack otherwise, or one could open it up in the editor SMILE.

wait there is no forum for reverse boss order on metroid construction!
That doesn't mean you cannot make a thread for it (preferably in a suitable place, if so), or that there wouldn't be enough threads already in which one could talk/write about the hack over there.
