Quote from Kejardon:
Funny, I've tried to improve my reaction time for years, and I've yet to see any improvement.

It may be that you have already reached your limit.

Quote from Blackdrake1:
What do I do after I get the Varia Suit? Is the Speed Booster or Graplling Beam or Power Bombs next?

Return to Norfair and wander around its western part.
Ridley!
Which one should I find first? I already got my fourth super missle expansion in the room after the challenging area next to the save point, you have to be careful with your bomb jumping to get through it. By the way, is this where I have to go? What do I have to do?
Western part is to the left, I suppose. :)
There'll be a considerably hard part with some tricky bombjumping. You'll know you're on the right way if you find yourself trapped.
Ridley!
Do you mean the place with the fourth Super Missile Expansion after that tricky part? Is that where I have to go? I haven't found anything else in there except for that Super Missile Expansion.
What version of the hack do I need to play Atma's TASs?  I have 1.0 and 1.3, but neither video works with either version.
Ridley!
Moozooh are you talking about the place in Norfair where the fourth Super Missile Expansion is, or somewhere close to it? What item am I supposed to be looking for?
Embarrasing Fact: Power suit made by lowest bidder
If I've already reached my physical limit (which seems likely, from what I know), then what you've said must be wrong:

Quote:
Of course, Redesign demands much more physical abilities than the original as well, but all of them come with practice.
Ridley!
Which item comes after Varia Suit?
Physical limit =/= mental limit. No matter how fast you can press buttons, you still have to think quick enough and react quickly enough to be successful. All of that comes with practice- knowing exactly what to anticipate and knowing exactly what to do when it comes, and being able to decide what to do quickly enough to get the job done.

btw new glitch I found (minor spoilers)

and after varia is
power bombs
Ridley!
I should have known seeing all those blocks with that icon on them. Where do I get the first one? Is it Brinstar? I'm talking about the
power bombs
By the way, that video was actually neat. I've never known you could do that.
there are 2 ways that I know of to get the first power bomb- the super hard impossible without savestates way is shown in the TAS preliminary run, and the normal way is to keep to the west part of norfair, and keep heading as far down as you can. they're all the way at the bottom, but that's all I'll say.

And someone help me, I'm stuck
after getting space jump. I did an item clean up of maridia to the best of my ability, but I can't get anywhere further now and there are 2 possible ways to go that look highly suspicous to me, but I can't see where to get them.

Someone just tell me if I'm on the right track and if so how I need to get there. The places I'm talking about are in the pic below.

yes you are on the right track, but instead of going up on the right side circle, keep going right (in the room below the circle)

Nitetrain8: I don't know if I've ever reached my mental limit or not, but I'm pretty certain I've reached my physical limit.

I play GunRoar a lot to challenge myself in both areas. I've gotten to the point where I often know after I tell my finger to move and before I actually press the button if I'm going to press the button too early, too late, or on time. Regardless of what I try though, I can not make my timing any more precise.
I've also gotten to the point where I often see exactly what's going to hit me, where, when, and how to avoid it, before it happens. Yet I can not get myself to react quick enough to actually avoid incoming fire.

Over the last year or so, practice has failed to improve either my timing or my reaction speed. And both are significant problems when playing Redesign.
I've got the Power Bombs but now I don't know where to go on... cant find anything, last thing i remember was to activate chozo in Creteria.
Had some time and started playing through the hack a second time. Sequence broke it aswell.

Had a theory on how to get a Power bomb early and it worked out ;) I don't know how it would be possible without killing Kraid though. Well, it might be, but it would be like tooo hard to do without Save states (I didn't use them for the early Power bomb). I've noticed the underwater Speed booster trick before, but skipping Grapple remains a mystery aswell. There might be a way to do it, but it would be damn hard. I guess I have to search some more, because I want to try to find them w/o watching Atmas movie.

Also trying to get 100% in this file.

And I really like the outer Crateria rooms. Is there really no way to add the sky scrolling w/o fucking up the graphics(more or less)? Yeah, I really like the sky scrolling.

Besides that, you made a good job with making me play this hack a second time rather than playing through Hunters for the first time >_>
Finished it last night. A few things...

In the lost caverns I didn't notice the change in the staligtites/staligmites, I went by the map. Every time I made a little progress, I'd move a little on the map. Needless to say, it took me a long time.

I found a glitch in maridia. I speed-boost jumped (no idea what it's called) to a door above. When I went through the door all the graphics were garbled. See the pics for refrences.

Also, I couldn't find the X-Ray scope :(.
Ridley!
I finally found it all you have to do is go to the room in western Norfair with the Super Missile in it. Once you get it try bombing everywhere in the room until you find a super missile block. Shoot downward at it and keep going till you find a super missile door. Open it, and go down through it and you should have made it to the room in the bottom left hand corner in Upper Norfair that is somewhere above where you see the boss icon. Get to the end of the room and grab the power bombs. It's that easy.
I forgot to mention you have to battle Crocomire to get the Power Bombs. So it's not as easy as I thought. You might want to get more health from the Zebs coming out of the pipes in the room before Crocomire's room.

Heh, just as I said. :) Glad you haven't met much difficulties getting that bombs... *cough-bombmaze-cough*
Ridley!
I did that bomb thing so many times but I was never able to realize that the power bombs was under the room with the super missile. Now how do I get the Grapple Beam?
try using the entrance to norfair from behind kraid and go from there.
Ridley!
That's what I've been doing. The way to it is somewhere in the room with all the pipes, I just happened to find it without realizing it. Since I got the Grapple Beam what item comes next?
Anywhere, everywhere
Hey, I've finally gotten to play this some more and I got much further. Just got the Gravity Suit!!!

Couple of my opinions

Lost Caverns
Evil or Very Mad
Phantoon right after
grin new
No Wrecked Ship
:?

Just saved at the ship with 91 missiles, 7 supers, 8 power bombs, and 2 guardians disabled. Yeah, it's not much, but I'm gonna do a major cleanup before I head into Maridia.

Btw amazing hack!!! Love it!
Ridley!
What's with the Chozo Statue and the room shaking when you morph into a ball on it, and then the words Sector 1 Crateria Secured appear? And why does it sound like it's raining and you can't see it and the sky isn't moving when your outside, and why is it so dark? What items should I get after the Grapple Beam? I got the power bombs and it's still sounds like it's raining. Should get the Speed Booster yet? Where are the High Jump Boots?
Talk about playing 20 questions.....

its secured because its a guardian you needed to disarm.

Its dark outside cause you have powerbombs, powerbombs signify that time has passed and so it is NIGHT time....

Clouds don't like to scroll properly with my new backgrounds

hi jump boots are in brinstar
Ridley!
Ok that's strange cause usually it would be daytime and it would play Galactic Warrior-Theme of Samus Aran, but thanks for the info on the High Jump Boots.
