Thread title:
I think IPS patches are the only kosher thing to share via this forum, so you may wish to change that.
Huh, there actually is a large ips file in there.  Didn't expect that.  I'm also curious about whatever multibeam is.
Super Secret Area - Dead Ahead!
Guys: Today's date is...
Yeah, but I had expected the rawr to have something else.  It's a classier joke than I expected... maybe.

Super Secret Area - Dead Ahead!
Try here.  Translated page here, if you prefer.  Also, bear in mind that you may need the (J) ROM, rather than the usual (U) version.
Oxide.  I'm stuck after draygon.

Well, if I remember right the entrance to Tourian should be behind Draygon's room somewhere. If you've taken down the other statue bosses you should be able to just go right in. Can't really help you find the other three as I don't remember where they are specifically, since the game is one of the more confusing SM hacks I've played.
Draygon is the only statue I've cleared.  Can't find any others.
Super Secret Area - Dead Ahead!
I seem to recall there's a room behind Draygon / Space Jump where you can shoot out some blocks in the ceiling..? Think
Yeah I went there, and I found the statue room (dead end) and a room with several supers (dead end).  Did I miss a way to continue somewhere in that area?  I've returned to both of the silver doors to see if either of them have unlocked, but no dice.
Super Secret Area - Dead Ahead!
In the big room where you went through the floor door toward Draygon, there is a grey door on the left-hand side.  Kill all of the enemies (pirates and the rolly things), and it'll open up the way forward.
Thank you!  I never thought about killing all enemies in the room, I only considered an event-trigger would unlock.
I seem to recall a lot of rooms in Oxide are setup as kill all enemy rooms, which can get annoying when you've seen it a bunch of times.
Indeed.  Now my choices are so many that I feel overwhelmed.  Next game, please.

EDIT:  nevermind.  shit, i can't believe I skipped the entire wrecked ship.  Now I have to do an incredible amount of backtracking.
Finished Oxide 3:34 167%.  Fun game.
Super Secret Area - Dead Ahead!
If you enjoyed it, you should try Life too, as it's quite similar.  Fairly non-linear, palette changes, and a reasonable item order.

BTW - There's a room in oxide where you activate a chozo statue and it lowers the water in that room.  Was there any point to that room at all?
Super Secret Area - Dead Ahead!
It's probably the same as in the original game.  The statue in Lower Norfair only reacts if you have the Space Jump, and doesn't just lower the acid, but removes the block from the bottom of the room.  You will probably find that if you just jump in the water, the block's in the way.  It's the same in the normal game.  If you had enough health, you could just run through the room even though it's filled with acid, but you can't pass the block.  It's a bit like the wall in Botwoon's room.
I'm just surprised that the access which was granted did not lead to a previously-inaccessible place, or any other reward.

I thought that I would check out Life, and apparently I checked it out already.  It has a save file on it with a couple hours worth of play.  Not sure why I gave up on it but there must have been a reason.  So I moved on to Vino, and I'm finding the hidden passages thing to be very tedious.
