To my horrible dismay, when I play Super Metroid on my new HDTV there is a very noticeable delay from my controller to what happens on the screen.  I've tried on the Wii VC and on my actual cartridge and both have this delay.  I pretty much can't finish my run on this because it's much too frustrating.  What's weird though is the fact that it doesn't have this delay with other games...

From my observations, here are some of the games I've played on the actual console and the effects of playing on my TV:

No Delay- Super Mario Kart, probably some other games

Delay- Final Fantasy 4, Super Metroid

Does anyone know what the deal is here?

Hehe, nate makes new friends!

Maybe it is some PAL/NTSC problem? Just a guess, I`m no expert.
I have the same problem with lag.  Thats why i only play it on my pc monitor.  Even on game mode there seems to be a slight fraction of a second delay, which is enough to make speed running the game almost impossible.

I'll check for game mode.  I wish I had my 25+ year old old TV just to play Super Metroid on...
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
There was a thread about this a while back... I'll see if I can find it, just in case somebody cares.

Edit: Found it.

Thanks for that.  I'll have to get my rf thing from home and see how it works.
Super Metroid is working just fine on my HDTV (With VC). I bet it should be the same to you.
