I got a couple of screenshots from norfair if you want more you gotta let me know how im doing!! also this is only one idea for the tunnel in norfair where you go from purple norfair to green norfair any suggestions let me know i have modified the tunnel so hopefully it looks better

The tunnel is a bit bland. Also, the tiles you've used above and below the rocks are filled with different shades and look sloppy. I would at least fix the shading problem, and try to add just a tiny bit more interest to the room.

OMG FLAN!!!!!!!

It is a Metroid remake though, and I didn't really find the original Metroid rooms all that exciting. Sure, thyeh had fun puzzles, but not really great scenery.

What I'd absolutly love to see is a Metroid/M2 remake, but SM style. Using SM graphics, and level style, but the maps/item placements from the original game.

I have redone the tunnel from purple brinstar to green brinstar because i didnt like the other one to bland and boring so hopefully this one is better

Rooms is Metroid and Super Metroid have different size.
Room in Metroid can be 15 lines in height and all of them are on screen.
Room is Super Metroid can be 16 lines in height, but only 12 will shown in horizontal rooms. 2 lower lines will never appear and Layer 3 will hide 2 upper lines.

So, it is technically impossible to create the same room from M1 in SM, only closer one

though what size is kraid really going to be? mini or huge like in SM?

plus i think you should put plasma beam in kraid's hideout and spazer beam in ridley's

spazer after you beat kraid

It would technically make sense to use mini-Kraid, due to the fact that, for one, he faces right in the original Metroid, and 2, he's in a 1x1 room. Now, seeing as he can add SM gameplay elements, he could use Kraid, though that's on him how he wants his hack to play out.

The beam ideas are pretty good so im going to use them and also you will have both mini kraid and godzilla kraid to contend with ill get back to my game if these freakin storms ever stop blasted florida weather

Bad news folks due to a excrutionatingly painfull kidney stone my hack is on hold and a cannot stress this enough TEMPORARILY im going to see this through to the end
when im better work will resume immediatly

Good news work on old school will resume this weekend as of now norfair is about 36% done and ill have screenshots of my latest work as soon as possible the progress so far tourian, brinstar and kraids hideout are completely done with just nofair ridleys hideout and wrecked ship/ crateria to go and i think you will like the new designs
