Super Metroid Limit Help Thread

Every Bit Counts

I'm stuck in SM Limit. I have 20 missiles, morph ball, and bombs. I have no clue where to go. If I go down farther, I get into a heated room. Any help will be apriceated.

You need to get Grapple Beam. It's in Brinstar through the red door underneath the right side entrance to the Wrecked Ship

Edit: I'm in Brinstar, but I can't find the grapple beam. If I go onward, I run into speed blocks. If I backtrac, I run into a backward blue gate. Help?

You need to find a way to head right and up a narrow shaft. At the top of that shaft is a door, you will have to damage time some Rippers to get there. You will eventually come to a fight with Spore Spawn. After you beat him, you go up and out of Brinstar, and you should be able to locate the Grapple.

Edit: What is with the extra [/spoiler] thing at the end of spoilers now. Is that a forum bug.

There's a shot block you have to shoot to gain access to the rest of the room.

I'd advice you look for the Charge Beam and Ice Beam before you go to Red Brinstar

It automatically adds the tag if you don't press the Spoiler tag button a second time (I'm assuming you typed in "[/spoiler]" the 2nd time instead of clicking the Spoiler button

Yeah. This hack is difficult. There should be a least walkthrough for it. Anyway, I got 5 more missile and the charge beam. Do I ever need to ibj in this hack? If I do, that coanges some things. If I go left, I run into a PB door. If I go up from there, I run into a crowd of rippers.

Someone posted this awhile ago...

Note that there is a chance you will get stuck in maridia... There is a place where you are supposed to get the blue suit, but it doesn't work in all rom/emulator combinations.

If this happens, you can plug in the Game Genie code which gives you Blue Suit to get past that room.

OK. I found Kriad's "heads". Now, If I go in the top, I get Supers. If go in the bottom I get Power Bombs. But I can't get them both. Which do I get (or is there a trick to get both?) Thanks in advance.

That is the site of what is possibly the hack's most brilliant moment. You can take either.

Both will let you explore a new area, which will lead to the item you didn't take. Pick whichever weapon you prefer; the Supers path is slightly harder IMO, but otherwise it's going to be a while before you get that extremely useful weapon.

Also, the code you will need for the blue suit if it doesn't work in-game is 7E0B3F 04

I missed spazer, but I got wave. This is a fun hack. Why does everybody say this hack is hard? Is it because of later battles? Anyway, I'm not stuck, yet. :P

I know what item is next now.

Edit: The lava chase was fun. I don't get what is so hard about this hack.

Edit 2: Yay, I beat it. 3:11 with 75%. I liked the last part of the escape. I might make a run through this, because some people complained that there was no playthrough smv of this hack yet.

Whoa 3:11? I don't recall Limit being that short for a first-time playthrough. Or maybe the items are hidden more maliciously in other hacks; I forget most of Limit by this point.
