As some of you probably know Super Metroid has been put on the Wii as a purchasable item.  I was wondering because the DSi has some similar functions to the Wii if Super Metroid was put on it.
Thread title:
What'd you say?
If SM will be on DSi I will pawn off my DS and get it! SM is by far my favorite game ever made. (FF7 is a close second.)
you can already play super metroid on DS

You can, but it filled with bugs.

How is this possible?
You can use emulator to play SNES roms on DS. See the link below.

Like I said, it filled with bugs.
I like Big Butts and I can not lie
Since NES games were ported onto GBA, I guess I wouldn't be surprised if SNES games were ported onto NDS
I'd be interesting in seeing SM given a big DS update. Like with map/items on bottom screen and the action on the top one, Zer Mission-ify the controls a bit and I'd play that.
I'd rather go for Open Pandora if I wanted SM on-the-go.
Are there less bugs using SNEMULDS on Open Pandora??
Jagger ftw
Play it on psp....
plenty of good emu for psp

that would be pretty awsome though unlikely because nintendo is stuck in a phaze where they think they're going forward but really they're going backwards.

I tried that on my friend's psp, but it was slow and buggy.
Jagger ftw
You friend probably didn't had his speed on automatic rather than full.
Happens at time.

Mine runes perfectly:)
Gu3st is right. In fact, iirc there was a semi-recent breakthrough in SNES emulation on PSP. 60fps vsync, hell yes.
But still, Pandora'd own that either way  Wink

well here's proof
I don't know if psp is worth buying for snes emulator. I would be interested to play snes roms on my iPod touch.

How would you do that? There's only one button.

It has touch screen which would create virtual buttons.

im skeptical about how well that would work in a game like super metroid
Yes, a lot of the screen is taken up for the game itself anyway, adding buttons would only make it worse.
I would love to see an tweaked port of Super Metroid on the DSi. The thing I want to see most is a Records area accessible from the main menu. Otherwise, probably update the graphics and movement style a little to make the game flow better. A Super Metroid on the go would be a heck of a lot better than porting Metroid Prime and Echoes to the Wii....to bad that Nintendo has not even had the idea of making a Super Metroid port for the Nintendo DS/DSi.
Merry Christmas
This would he awesome, wait til there is homebrew for dsi
