Time bomb set get out fast!
Acheron, I want to burn your minihack and cast its ashes to the four winds.  I mean this in the nicest way possible.  Much like the minigames in Mega Man Powered Up, it's very good at its intended purpose: driving the player to utter walnut-crunching homicidal madness.  With MMPU, though it took amazing perseverance, I managed to beat all 90 non-boss-rush challenges.  With this hack, I'm halfway through with savestates, and I'm honestly not sure I believe it can be done without them.

Can health be recovered anywhere other than the ship?  If not, I may have to start over.  I took a lot of damage earlier on the assumption that I could recover later, and although I'm sure you never have to get hit, this thing is hard enough without also having no margin for error.

Sorry, dude. I've done it under console conditions, for what that's worth. However, most of the more advanced techniques aren't that complicated for me any more. I guess I've played too much SM to be in tune with the average player.

Feel free to hack yourself in some extra health, I wouldn't be offended.

Oh, don't apologize.  I wasn't criticizing -- I was just making it clear in slightly over-the-top fashion how hard this thing is.  You meant it to be hard, so that's fine.  Your SM skill level seems to be more typical among hackers and hack players than mine is; I'm amazed that so many people have beaten AngryFireChozo without help, for instance.  (And by "help" I mean incoherently screaming "WTF?  WTFingF?")

Also, I was kidding about not believing it could be done without savestates.  I wasn't really calling you all liars.
Scrutinous Bastard
Haha, some of the bits were a little crude and anti-intuitive, but fun overall.

lol @ "See you, Space Cowboy." I haven't watched that in a long time.
I'm dying to know.  How was the part with the blue zoomer intended to be done?

I used jump to sorta bounce/swing off the (pass through one way only) blocks while still grappled to the zoomer...  to get around those blocks.

Or is it just good ol' persistence to do it the obvious way?

There are two ways I found to do this, either one is "intentional" but I like the glitched method personally. You can have very good timing with your grapple swing and release (you need to go to the left of the creature as it's moving to the right, and you just have to swing very fast to do so). The glitched method is getting Samus stuck in the tiles to the left; you can then do a couple things to get through (release at the edge of the wall and boost out, or get stuck in the blocks on the right as the critter returns and release). It's probably the hardest technical trick in the hack, IMO. (That boost ball part with the crumble block is pretty bad too; I should've been more creative there.)

Done! That was good fun, short and very sweet.

My favorite part was the wall jumping segment,

i hoped it would have lasted longer but it a good challenge. I hope everyone did it realtime as I did.

Well Done!
