Nice.

I'm the opposite of Kriole. I hate having to do some tight Wall Jump Mid Air Morphs sometimes.
Just did a any% speed run got some things out of order, skipped xray, screw attack, plasma beam, and spazer, got 35% and 3:41 had I gotten plasma this could've been a whole lot better
The insta-death crabs shortly after bombs make me sad.  I think they cross the line from "challenging" to "annoying".
Actually they weren't challenging at all. It was for me kind of a "lol, *reload savestate*" thing.

I'm pretty much getting annoyed at hacks that make you stateload most of the time.
Some people's brains are hardwired to be able to stand annoyance I guess. Some people's are not.
If you don't like constantly loading states, then just use them less. I usually only make saves when moving between major areas, or sometimes during room transitions if I'm in a really hard area. If you use save-states continuously, then not only does it make the game less fun, but it pretty much defeats any chance of you improving your skills. On the other hand, if you push yourself by avoiding their use, then you will find that what seems impossibly hard at first will quickly become easy. Besides, this hack really doesn't have anything that should require constant state spam anyways. There are a few instant death things, but they are all easy to avoid.
The problem is you don't know it's insta-death until you die. >_>
Abusing rewind works pretty well for insta-death.  I feel using it is kinda justified, why would you think to be extra careful around that enemy for the first time.  Or, in Cliffhanger, you may fight the enemy in more than one place and only have it be instant death in some of them.

Edit: The spellchecker doesn't catch individual letters as typos?  Yeah, that makes sense.
Man, i'm having a way harder time finding my way in this then i did in golden dawn...

Morph ball and first missle pack and i can't figure out where to go next...

Am i suppose to mid air morph that fast after a wall jump in the section to the right of the ship?

See the 1st post for the techniques required to play this hack.

As for mid-air morphing 'that fast'...  You could use slo-mo...  Unless you're very very good you will most likely need to (ab)use slo-mo in a LOT of places. :p

But there's a particular way to do the mid-air morph for that spot.

After you jump off a wall - as you are spinning you will only need to press down 1 time while still holding jump.

But that place to get in is so tight.  It took me several tries even w/ 50% speed. :?  Good luck.
I never used slowdown once in the hard version; there really wasn't any place to use it.
Okay, I'm now sitting at 79% and decided to go for 100% before finishing the game.

Sitting at 79% with:

13E 0R 170M 50SM 30PB
Grapple, X-Ray.
All 14 Inventory Items.

EDIT: Also have most of the lore, missing Keruarn Lore.

Well, i don't feel like i'm a super metroid noob... just not as good as some of you guys that play this.

I've never played any of the hacks with slow motion before...  I prefer using my joystick at normal speed for optimum challenge...

But goddamn... I've been sitting here for hours trying to do this fucking jump...  If i had bombs i would just ibj the entire way up and would of probably gotten past this part a long time ago...

grrrrrrrrrrrr.

This hack was the first time I had to use slo-mo.  I didn't need it for any of the moves, but I used it for the Ridley fight.  I've never faced him with so few ET's and SM's.  I tried at least 20 times before I finally gave in and used 1/2 speed, then I beat him on the first try.

I'm not exactly sure which jump you're trying to do, but if it's one that you need to morph after doing a wall jump try doing the wall jump from lower on the wall, this gives you more time to morph, and then when you do morph you should get a little upwards boost to make up for the fact that you jumped from a lower place.

Well, this was the first hack I've ever tried to do some effort on, and I've only used 83% Slow-Motion and a crapload of savestates.

Now I gotta find 9 more missile tanks and 2 more PB tanks. :P

Oh and yes, I did get the "taunt-tank" before Phantoon.

I did fight Ridley suitless, and I did find Varia AFTERWARDS.  laugh new
As for lore, I'm still missing Keruarn Lore, and I think I've run out of leads to follow up on.

I'll get back to this later in the day, I gotta go eat at Pizza Hut. grin new

EDIT: Is there any way to get the rooms immediately on the right in this pic? (Including the one by the elevator and to the right).
man...  i don't get it...

I spent over an hour trying to do the instant mid-air morph to get the bombs with no luck...

First try just now i do it.  Oh well, at least i got the bombs.

Those on the right? *buzz* No way, those are results of error. You can't even enter them (why doesn't he just hide the door of its entirety?)
It's an aesthetic thing (and they aren't errors =P). That hall is supposed to be (and is) the same elevator room from the original SM, only changed to block off some rooms. The vines/shrubs are growing over the doorcaps, making those rooms inaccessable. You can even see on the map when you do the speed boost up to the ceiling of that room, it shows that you're going through the rooms that'd be there in the original SM.

And here -what I tried to do was lower my energy just enough that when I shine-sparked up through there I'd stop somewhere before getting to the top so I could get into that area...  Maybe look around is all.

I spent alot of time trying to figure out how to get through those fake doors too.  I hate fake doors, there were three (i think) in dependence that took up (i mean wasted) alot of my time.
I think fake doors are just plain cruel.
