He is mocking you for pestering / misspelling Acheron's name. News is generally given on this forum whenever it's available. If nothing is given, then there is either nothing new, or nothing that the hacker wishes to share at the moment.
i doubt he's going to release it ever, I mean it's just one excuse after another. If you're not going to release it then tell them, because your not going to do any good by keeping they're hopes up.
1. He has a life, unlike the rest of us. I'm pretty sure this is pretty low on his overall list of priorities in life. 2. Previous comments he has made suggest that this hack has suffered from massive scope creep.

There is absolutely no reason to think that. Acheron has done or said nothing to make anyone think that this project is not going to come out, nor has he done anything in the past to earn a reputation as someone who is a bullshitter. I'm not sure if you're just trying to use reverse psychology to perhaps cause him to hurry up, or if 'SMF' stands for Stupid MotherFucker.
I will say this much though, with this particular hack, given the seemingly high number of changes, delays, setbacks, etc., a long time ago I went from "really excited about it!" to "I'll believe it when I see it."
That's not meant as a rip on Acheron or a firm belief that it will never see the light of day, just a complete change in mindset from where I was when this topic was started a year and a half ago.
To be brutally honest, am I little skeptical this will actually ever get released? At this point I'd be lying if I said I wasn't. Again, not a flame, not a reverse psychology mindgame, just being truthful.
No offense, but there's someone on this page that has been quoted that now isn't/wasn't the right time to quote. I'm not even sure if this is even the right thread to quote that person. Whatever thread the Aegis patch is released and when it is, is the opportune time and place for the person to be quoted, which I might, no offense (unless I'm told not to by Acheron86 either here or PM).
I hear Redesign was being worked on for three whole years before it was finally released. Jathys has been working on and off his Alliance hack(s) since 2005 but we're not losing hope. There are other hacks to look forward to as well that are yet to be released: Overhaul, Tyjet66's upcoming one, Volta, Grime's hacks, Impulsion, Super Metroid World: Rainbow City, among others.
I'm satisfied with being able to wait for Super Metroid hacks without having to worry about the company that owns the metroid franchise shutting these hacks down. Chrono Trigger doesn't have this luxury. Aegis, like so many other hacks that we look forward to, is a waiting game. Once released, they'll always be in our hack libraries anyway.
Now, if anyone is willing to buy Acheron86 a computer, they can send him a personal message and see if it can be squared away. Buying him one would save him the time of saving up for one himself so he can continue to hack in the first place.

I believe Drewseph mentions in his readme that it was two years, and included two complete restarts.
I don't see what the problem is. If you consider that smaller hacks take three to four months to be released, why is it so hard to understand that a complete overhaul of the entire game takes years? Every room changed, every item moved - or new ones added, every enemy changed or moved, physics changes, ASM, hex editing, drawing tiles, new music, beta testing, and learning new stuff as you go, all adds up, and means these things take time.
Lastly, if you check Acheron's first post, you'll see that progress is all but done on the hack, and he's just tinkering with the music. Do you really think that anybody, after all that work, would just let it die. I find it hard to believe.
Okay, reading this thread now kinda bums me out, so I'm going to turn that bummed-ness into scrounging pennies for a proper computer and try to get on this as soon as possible. I miss hacking anyway.

Acheron, hope you can get things sorted for you as soon as you can. Still ready willing and able to wait for it to be finished. Its amazing to see what can be hacked in SM from what you have shown us. Awesome work! ^_^
Observation (rant if you wanna call it that). I work in a retail store and the amount of people that dont read the price tags is crazy. They stand there staring at it then ask you the price (even after some of them proving they CAN read)... im sure others have had it happen to them too. my point tho is kinda the same for this, a lack of reading. Some only read the last page of posts, but if they read the 2nd last page they could find the info they needed to not ask previously asked / silly questions. Having said that sometimes it pays to just ask. idk. <Observation prolly with bad spelling> *meh*

I highly doubt I would lock any thread with several videos of gameplay, screenshots aplenty, extensive discussion and following, unless the topic creator asked me to or vanished for a couple of years. I would honestly lock this thread right now if I suspected it would change your attitude, but you've lately just seemed to be trolling, which is disappointing because I really don't know what your beef has been with m2k2.
When it comes down to it, though, it's not really my problem whether you want to antagonize the mods. You're entitled to your opinion. Just keep it to an appropriate level.
