I'm definately glad to hear you're okay in good health these days and you better stay healthy, too.

If I may make a prediction then I'd say Aegis will be out before squishy's hack but after DMantra's hack.  But I still think it'll be out before the full hack of Chrono Trigger: Crimson Echoes.  I know I could be wrong in my predictions though.  I suspect Aegis will be released when we least expect it and sooner than we expect as well.  Keep it up and above all, stay healthy.

Bunnying makes me so mad...

But it's so much fun to do!

Anyways, I really doubt Aegis will be released sooner than we expect. Maybe that's just me being pessimistic. Also, I'd be willing to bet it's released on a holiday.
I'm betting (and kind of hoping) that it will be a summertime release.  It'll give me the ability to play it without college interrupting and I'll also be able to play it over Skype with my friends.
That and I'm sure Acheron will have plenty more time to hack until his heart is content during the summer.

You are correct. I have four weeks left of a very busy semester, then I will have a very un-busy summer ahead of me.

You mean (still) busy...  Since you'll be finishing up...  Eh.  aiwebs_005 Aegis, right?  Embarassed
Shoot, it's funny how my summer is busier than my school year. I'm taking some college courses over the summer and my Dad is going to have my little sisters down for 6 weeks because of some divorce summer thingy and I'll have Aegis to speedrun and Brawl tournaments and jeez!

The irony.

Anyway, hope to see Aegis coming out soon (I know, no promises)... literal summer boredom ftl. (That is of course, if I don't get a job, which I NEED).

Did you have Spring Break already? Augh. What did ya spend it on?

"Spring Break" in college is just code for "professors give all the students lots of papers to write."

I'm basically done with the new Glacia area (only one room left) but now the, uh, "Bomb" Torizo is crashing the game randomly. He's been a real trouble-maker ever since I added him in. I may just revamp the fight for bombs, not sure yet. Other than that, test runs are bug-free, which is a pretty good place to be.

Soon I'll start working on the new Radia area and the last part of Subverda. I'll grab a couple screenshots for you guys later, since you've all been so patient.

OK, bring them on :)

Also, it's good to see that progress is picking up.
I was afraid you would pull a Crys and just drop the project quietly. :<

I'm too invested at this point. No way I'd let all that time go to waste. As always, it's just my stubborn drive for quality and a lack of time that hold me back.
I'm the same way with speedrunning. If it's segmented, I have to get like 99% of the seg perfect. I don't very much like SS runs but they're interesting to do and just requires consistency of all tricks over a small second or two lost.
So if I decide to segment Aegis, it could be a while before the speedrun is out har har.

So I think I'm going to scrap the addition to Radia. I'm out of items to add in! Thus, it wouldn't be a required area to visit, and I've already got enough optional routes in.

This is good news, really, since it means the game will be done that much sooner. Left on the list to do:

-East Subverda
-End Game

After that it's mostly bugtesting.

I was going to do some more screen shots but I realize I've already spoiled so much of the game. I want there to be something left for you guys to be surprised by.
Go ahead. Stare.
You haven't "spoiled" anything since like four months ago! Very Happy

This is probably the first time I've heard of a hacks release being pushed forward instead of backwards though, so I personally shall live with it.

Getting close to the grand conclusion eh Acheron? The near completion/release of the hack is even more anticipating than watching the videos earlier last year. Keep up the work dude =p.
Almost happy

Does this mean that the music is now done?

Small update: project's got about 25-30 rooms to go, and no more tilesets need to be drawn. Beta shouldn't be too far off.

Also, have a screenshot. (I fixed the bad slopes in this room after I took the screenshot, thanks DSO)

The door at the bottom is sealed off since the room isn't done yet (I do that sometimes).
Woohoo! I can't wait to play this hack.

nice but a little plain
Super Secret Area - Dead Ahead!
It is a little plain, but there's no backdrop / no enemies in the screenshot, and it looks to be just a connecting corridor, so there isn't the need for too much stuff...
OMG FLAN!!!!!!!
Those rocks are amazing! :0 Those blocks blocking the door look interesting. They look like you need a heat beam to destroy them or something.

I wonder if they're screw-attack blocks.  That was being discussed a long time ago for this hack I believe.
Super Secret Area - Dead Ahead!
The symbol reminded me of an angel on an infinity symbol, but that power-up would make the game waaay too easy. Razz

The screen shot is there to show progress, not give away anything flashy. Otherwise he'd have chosen something that wasn't the "Standard Metroid Vertical Room".

The hell do you want, walls of spikes that romhackers love so much? Spikes are why romhacks are dumb btw.
