Anyway, that item was hacked in by Insom for FP. I'm using it in Aegis but I want to remind everyone that it's originally for Volta, so please don't think FP is posin' off me, it's actually the other way around.
Where did you get the boost ball patch? also, I was surprised to see this thread getting some attention! I was looking forward to playing this hack a month ago..
..and I'm REALLY hoping I'll get to play aegis BEFORE I release my next hack!
EDIT: will we be seeing bosses from super metroid? or do we get to fight new bosses?

The end boss will be a new one not seen in Super Metroid but not sure about the others. I'm wondering if the end boss has been seen in other metroid games.... A couple omega metroids perhaps?? Or the queen herself?? Or if these are used maybe they eventually lead up to the end boss??
Just wondering, but after you release this hack, can you please release a patch containing just the ASM changes you made? If you don't mind other people (like me, but I know this much ASM: 0) using it, that is. Please?
Acheron has already said that he wants to avoid use of the original SM bosses as much as possible, and that he will be releasing his changes for the public for some reason I can't remember. I would try to find the exact posts where he says these things, but there are 30+ pages in this thread and it's possible that he said them in the SMILE Help Thread.

...which is probably why I didn't see this. Thanks for the info!
Sorry again if this has been asked before but, is there gonna be an escape at that the end? I'm hoping there is it just wouldn't feel like a Metroid game if there wasnt an escape with matchin epic music playing with it xD
Sick with a fever so not too much to add. Got some music stuff done finally, still need to finish Subverda but making progress. It's just so big. Also been doing a lot of bugbusting lately. Should mention that I recently did a no-save-states, console conditions, no-sequence-breaking run... even knowing exactly where to go and not messing around, I'm at exactly an hour at the save spot in west subverda (which is about the 75% mark, give or take). So I guess that means a full playthrough would be around 1:30 if you knew where to go and didn't SB. If you don't know where to go (and you won't) it'll take longer, so that's nice.

ASM patches that I made? Sure, but they're not very interesting. They're mostly minor changes to item pickups that only really make sense in Aegis. Some other much more intelligent people have contributed code, and I won't be releasing their ASM without permission.

Hasn't been decided for sure, but
I think I'm going to go with a more "M2" style ending, without an escape

Please don't do that Acheron, it wont seem like a true Metroid game (even though M2 was a Nintendo based game). Look at practically all the other Metroid titles (except the Prime series and M2) they all had an escape time limit.

About your spoiler, I think you should go along with it. I think it'll still feel like a metroid game if you do. Not every hack has to be the same in respect of having an escape or escape time limit.
Here, run around Central Subverda for a bit. I won't be doing any more of these, and yes I know this one is weird (pausing is weird, palettes are weird, enemies glitch up). None of that can be helped in a save state, just trust me that it's all perfectly normal in-game.
This is not really a SMILE related question, but this thread seems the most appropriate place to ask.
Can other emulators and versions of SNES9x import savestates? I have 9x1.51, and I'm thinking of giving one-room previews via savestates whenever I get close to finishing, but I don't want to leave people out because they don't use the same version as I have.
This is a cool idea, but I would avoid using it. Either have beta testers for your hack if you want feedback, or just wait until release and do screenshots, because you don't want players to be having fun and suddenly enter a room they've already been in before.
Not that I'm really complaining or anything. Just noticing a change in heart.
