I have a couple n00b questions now.
1: Since there are going to be bosses, can you fight them multiple times? Say you fight Kraid on screen 100, would I be able to come across him again in another 100 or so screens?
2: With the boss fights, are you going to make sure you have to fight them every time you enter their room? (This would only matter if you can fight them more than once.) What I mean is this. Say you've defeated Ridley once. The second time you come across him wouldn't you come across the problem of the grey door cap not being there, allowing the player to meander off into the next room? I'm sure that is easily fixed by grey doors always closing when you enter the room, I just wasn't sure what you were planning for that in regards to fighting bosses again.
3: Is it going to be possible to fight two or more bosses in a row? Or are you going to make that impossible for the game to spit out Ridley, Kraid, Ridley, Ridley, Draygon, Phantoon, Ridley all next to each other? Because I think it would be very impossible to beat them all in a line without serious savestate abuse do to the relatively small amount of pickups left behind after defeating them.
4: My last question (For now!) is are you going to put special rooms in depending on how many screens the player has covered? Like after 50 screens would the player then get a special item like a new beam or more missiles/supers/bombs or whatever else at that point? I believe that way you would at least garuntee the player to get an item at a set time, and possibly not getting Screw Attack in the second room, but making them wait for a few thousand rooms before picking up such a powerful item.
