has anyone ever gone through the entire suitless samus sequence (SSS) undetected, like terence? did on the site?

i did it today in my latest run, i was suprised.

the one where you shoot the obstruction in the tunnel, and the whole thing crumbles, and you fall on a trip laser?

and the on in the ruins before the vertical shaft to the tunnel with the 2 pirates in chambers above you?

hm, yeah, they are sorta annoying

i was suprised at the fiirst pirate, i was like, ah screw it, and just jumped down. i fired a diagonal shot so he wouldnt jump on me, and lo and behold, he hadn't seen me! :D  Laughing

I think it's different on my version: it sees you even if you jump down when it's facing backwards. I think you have to get that pirate frame-perfect.
You have to get it nearly frame perfect, both the timing with jumping down and with the shot. I've done it 2, maybe 3 times, after trying somewhere around 50 times.

I've never done it, even using save states. The rest is easy, and even more so with save states, compared to that first pirate. And triggering it makes the music so much worse...
I did it with save states.

I probably tried like 50 times, I hadn't gotten it to work ever. Sucks.
One shall stand, one shall ball.
The only guy that I get caught by regularly is the first pirate, after that I managed to not get caught by anyone else maybe once.
Hurray!  I did it!  Oh man, does it feel good.  *hugs self*  Wow, I can't believe I did it.  Here, take some of my tips.

Pirate #1:  This is very difficult, but also very possible.  Listen closely.
Make sure that you have a charged beam.  When you do, go to the very edge of the platform above the pirate.  Now, hold R so you aim diagonal left, and keep a close eye on the pirate.  Every few seconds, he'll turn around, then turn the other way again.  He'll do it the first time when your preparing to strike, ignore him then.  On his second time though, this is where you take action.  When he is COMPLETLY turned around, spin jump off and touch the ceiling, then press right then down quickly, and fire at the pirate right as your gun passes the wall.  If done correctly, the pirate will be stunned and will not notice you.  This will take lots of practice to master, but you'll get the hang of it.

Laser #1:
This one is also rather tricky, but easier than the first pirate.  climb through the small pathway until you reach the cracked wall thats blocking your way to the next door.  Get the A button ready, and fire at the wall so it crumbles and sends you to the laser down below.  Right as you start falling, press A  to start spinning ,and  hold right until you touch the wall.  Right as you touch it, perform a wall jump,and you will escape being captured.
