Okay, I need some help on getting the Shooting Star bonus on SSBM.  The explanation from a guide says "Ended match as a star."  I've tried various things, but I can't get it.  Anyone know how?

What it means is that you have to win the match while you are flying off into the distance after being hit.

It's pretty hard to do sometimes.

Well, I tried that (:().  I put the handicap on 1 and took Captain Falcona dn Pichu.  I used CF's Meteor Smash on Pichu, and while he was floating off, I jumped off of the edge and he won, but there was no bonus.

No good sir. You must be HIT into the background. Like you are a shooting star. And before you dissapear into the background and lose a life, the other player must die. It's very hard to do.

Was Pichu human? I don't think computer bonuses count. And you just have to end the match as a star, not win.

I just got that bonus by accident by playing the game. It's not, like, so incredibly uncommon that it will never happen in a match unless you do it on purpose, unlike some of those other bonuses. So if you just keep playing you should have it eventually.

its definatly one of the hardest bonusses to get. I think its more easy using timed mode. Just get 2 KOs with one guy and then let the other knock you towards the top of the screen. Should be doable.

I know I got that bonus just through continuous playing. I probably picked up a lot of bonuses including that one whilst playing an ungodly amount of VS matches back-to-back in order to unlock Mewtwo.

I unlocked Mewtwo by plugging in two controllers, having a stock match set to 99, and letting the match run while i slept.  I woke up, then had one char continue to run off the edge to finish the map (if you quit out, it doens't count towards mewtwo)

Dude, that's one of the easier bonuses to get. If you're gonna cheat, at least cheat for the stupid hard ones.

i get that bonus all the time...
Its a very easy bonus to get.. almost matchly in a good multiplayer bout.

I got every single stupid litttle trophy in that game except for one.  I forgot which one at that point, but i just remember there was one left i had to get.

That would be Crazy Hand, right? That's just about the only one I'm missing, too (there may be other, I havn't checked).

It's times like trying to get that one that I'm glad I havn't got an AR. I just know the temptation would be too much.

I would get Shooting Star by jumping off the top of the screen with Falco, myself. I think you can do it in Poké Floats and maybe G&W's level.

In G&W, you'll either float away or hit the ceiling and die; it depends on your velocity.
