no doubt in my mind now it's because of getting shot. but there's nowhere that I can see where it would be useful.
I know this is old, but I just started playing Echoes again after about a month of playing other games. I come back to find myself still stuck with the BSJ over the Ing Hive gate. Evil or Very Mad

Whenever I get the instant unmorph, I am never able to jump from there: I always have to fall back to the ground before I can start jumping. I seem to be doing everything that the movie does, but I still can't get it to work. The arm cannon has to rise up (Like when you switch from the scan visor to the combat visor) before I can jump again: This happens when I hit the ground. Is there something that I'm not doing, or does the game just not like me or something?

(This is part of the reason I stopped playing a month ago)

Edit: I am pleased that we still seem to be making some progress with sequence breaking / new tricks though after this long Wink

Long? Prime is still getting updates after 2 years. And Super Metroid is still after 10 years...
I meant because this is supposedly the "Unbreakable" game  Wink (Forgot to mention that part)

(Oh, and I kinda gave up on this run with the BSJ: I took 7 min to get the 3 keys instead of spending quite a bit of frustration on it)
I thought I'd post this for anybody who is or who will be doing a 21% Hard game.

Quadraxis 21% Hard: http://www.metroid2002.com/zoom/Quadraxis_21%25_Hard.mpg

I originally thought that Quadraxis would be much harder in a 21% Hard game, but he turned out to be quite easy.

Edit: I had to take it down for a moment to fix something, but it's back up now. Sorry.
How do you have echo in a 21% hard?
There's no echovisor in that vid, only dark.
Matt discovered some quirky thing with locking on that seems to get you a boost in height. He calls it the LOL Jump (yes, we were lame enough to stick "lol" in there - it means Lock-On Ladder Jump). Check this wiki page for details.

I am having lots of trouble with this and need to do this or stop playing because I feel victim to the Main Research Glitch.  Does the door have to be completely unscanned for this to work because mine is not.  Also, I noticed on the video that samus is facing down without the visor seconds before falling and I don't understand how with the following instructions. L+R+Stick down/right.  Mine is always looking up.  Any help please.  I am so anoyed by that glitch and do not plan to start all over.
lol no way
Probably have to invert/deinvert your up-down lookin axis.
Is deinvert a word??
Time bomb set get out fast!

Well, that explains why M. Night Shyamalan is directing the movie adaptation.
Kip, about your weird distance jump, i've found out why it happens.

if you hapen to be on a platform, or uneven ground where the 2 levels are at 90 degree angles, you'll get an interesting glitch

lock onto something (thus far i've only done it with the scan visor)

Then strafe left or right, when you fall off, you accelerate pretty rapidly.

After looking at your video, both of the requirements were there, the pirate shot just gave you alot more momentum than normal.  Regularly, the acceleration brings you at a downward angel, not giving you any straight horizontal movement.

I'm not all too sure how this would be applied, but i suppose if you could be hit by a small enemy as you strafe off... meh.

if you dont know me, i wouldnt be surprised... i kinda lurk here, and my main focus is SSBM break the targets <.<;
PAGE BREAKER
Ready and willing.

I'm sorry, but for making such a horrible horrible pun, you owe me your soul. Transfer it via EBay, please...
red chamber dream
I once saw someone "selling their soul" on EBay. I think the highest bid was somewhere around two thousand dollars. People will do all sorts of crazy things these days.

easy ? EASY ?!?

*explodes*
I just thought that I'd mention that in Vault, you can skip going back to the dark world after moving the spinners by doing one of BoostR's "Out of Scanning Range" dashes over to the long, narrow platform that you need to get to.

EDIT: Oh yeah, you have your pick of either one of the far away rotating lasers or the spinners to do the dash from. And it can be done from either side.
i've confirmed that my glitch works in the combat visor too, so i dont see why it wouldnt work in the dark or echo visor either <.<
Okay, with Matt's new LOL jump and one of my theories, Tim and Matt were able to escape the Hydrodynamo Station without killing the Alpha Blogg. Tim then went ahead to beat Chykka, seemingly no problems. All we need is confirmation that the game is beatable... but I feel that nothing should stand in the way :P.

And how exactly do you skip the Aplha Blogg. I think more people than me want to know :D Maka video or at least give us full detail. Would speed up my 100% run a bit and that's a good thing :D
One shall stand, one shall ball.
What could you lock onto to use the LOL Jump out of Alpha Bloggs room?
apparantly you lock onto alpha blogg.
One shall stand, one shall ball.
Never would have though of that :? cool though.
I run this here hotel of an evening

I never bothered to check Prime, but in Echoes, i'm pretty sure when it's 'inverted' it's actually not inverted and vice versa. i noticed this doing the watch station access jump of doom. just turn!
Anyone know what would happen if you were to leave the battle with Power Bomb Gaurdian?  The Gaurdian actually opened the power bomb door during the fight but I didn't bother going through it.

That is... interesting.  But I do not think you can get up to its platform during the fight, can you?

So, what happens if you try to enter the PB Guardian's room from the wrong side (the power bomb door) using an early expansion?  I would like to know that...

And, as long as I am asking questions, what happens if you leave the PB Guardian's room during the fight via the portal?  Is it even accessible during the fight?
