Good job Serris! You almost made that fight look easy.

That last dodge looked really close.
Dood Trigger™
That was a nice fight, Serris, congrats!

What's your equipment setup now?
That's Mad Warrior Mask (very happy Prowlers drop, no belfry phantom grind for me!), Peasant set, Vessel Shield, ADP/DEX/Flynn/Blades rings. You can add Great Magic Weapon if you want to switch gear for a minute every attempt. I couldn't be bothered and I doubt it amounts to anything, but it's something to try.
Dood Trigger™
That's an awesome setup.

Would be cool to watch more SL1 videos like that :) Not that I love reviving those memories... >_>
Well my first full SL1 way back was basically just naked with a mace and no ADP. That was certainly memorable. So memorable that I will never fight double kitties on any character ever again! Though I did see a SL1 NG+7 double kitty vid that was pure beauty. Wish I still had a link, but I'm sure YouTube isn't hurting for SL1 vids to watch.
Dood Trigger™
Same, I did SL1 two kitties naked with Rapier. Every single dodge was scary as hell.

I thought Emarrel was going to do a full SL1 NG+7 playthrough like he did with DeS and Souls 1 (that's where I got a lot of the strategies I used in my runs), but it's taking too long, maybe it won't happen.
I don't know who that is but he should certainly do it, DS2 SL1 is way more interesting and varied with all the +stat gear.
Dood Trigger™
Check out his channel on YT. He has a really great series of SL1 NG+7 videos for DeS and DkS1, the whole game with annotations. He edits/speeds up the boring stuff too, so the vids are pretty entertaining to watch.

I ended up doing a few things differently in mine, but as far as the equipment and routing, his videos were my biggest reference.
Routing and character progression is half the fun for me so guides (for stuff I've done no less) and NG+ don't do much for me. Give this one a try:

Also this is the best thing ever and you need to watch it even if you haven't played Bloodborne.

wow lol

I watched that Lobos run live. It was crazy indeed
That's hilarious.  I wonder what the chances of it happening are
All of the physics and collision stars had to align for that. Praise the Kosm.
I actually had a game-freeze in a zelda game once.  Pretty sure it was the only time I did something in a game of that quality that made it shut down.  I tried to replicate it but never could.  Sometimes weird crazy shit happens and you're like WOAH
One shall stand, one shall ball.
So the basic ass spear in Dark Souls 2 is really good actually, having thrust/strike damage on a weapon is neat and really useful. Everything Lenigrast sells is actually very good and that kind of owns.
I've been messing with Dark Hand on NPC's and it's really dangerous.  If you're not standing in the right spot, or if you do to much damage to them while trying to get them to stand then they aggro.  I pissed of andre of astora and he nearly killed me so I ran.  Then I pissed off Domnhall and had nowhere to run so I tried to use a homeward bone, but he kept hitting me during the animation, so I jumped to my death.  Then I went to get absolution and realized that it's very expensive, and all my souls were gone.  What a mess.
It's really not worth it lol. Just farm rats in the Depths if you need humanity for some reason.
One shall stand, one shall ball.
It's funny so it's actually super worth it.
Well I mean, yes. Real Darkwraiths don't regret their sins though. Just go meet your buddy Kaathe and murder all NPCs next playthrough!
Forget those rats and farm humanity in the dlc

I don't really need any humanity.  I was just using the dark hand because it was fun.  The outcomes vary and I was curious.

I fought Lord Gwyn a few times, kicked my ass.  Went back to the DLC and got killed surprisingly easy by one of those weak enemies in the oolacile township.  Don't ever let one punch you in the back.
With the exception of DS2, killing the final boss forces you into NG+, so be glad Gwyn kicked your ass before you finished the DLC.
Thanks for telling me.  I would have been upset about that for sure.

So I got the gold and dark silver tracer daggers.  I read that the gold one confuses the enemy with light which then opens them up to be attacked by the silver one.  Are these weapons regarded as any good, or...?
