man the night time is so nice. If I had it my way I'd just extend this time infinitely, everything being dead quiet, the world put on pause, being able to just relax listening to music and maybe chatting with some friends. There's something oddly emotional about it too, maybe it's because of how tired you get when you stay up really late, but it just kinda clears your mind and allows a lot of inner-thinking.

for me it's most pronounced when i'll start a long drive at night ... it's always so nice until the sun starts to come up and ruin everything

Yeah that always sucks because then you get this dread feeling knowing that you're going to sleep for a good portion of the daylight time. For me it's extra bad because everyone at my house starts waking up.
