if I had to set up a chatroom I didn't want monitoring I think I'd probably still just use IRC with mandatory SSL and run it on a server I controlled

I imagine there are fairly good phone apps for IRC now which is all most users care about nowadays

should have stuck with the chemical stripper

switched to the heat gun and that was a mistake, seems the chinese factories don't dry the wood so well, so the water under the surface boils and blows tiny little chips of wood out of the surface if you heat it too strongly

never seen that happen before

that was from yesterday, yeah, I'm stripping the paint off

I was doing it with chemicals which soften the finish, but I tried using a hot air gun instead today
