wow apparently apple wants to buy netflix for $75 billion

seems almost cheap if you ask me, surely netflix would want more even if they did want to sell

they pull in over a billion a month and it's almost all profit

really? why? you should be far, far, FAR more worried about google and facebook. apple actually sells products, so they have to care about their customers

Google is one of the few companies that skeeve me out more than Apple. Maybe Facebook should too but Google is so monolithic.

Yeah, that's true, I guess I'm thinking less from the perspective of personal data and more from that of "all apps and sites on the Internet are basically Google-owned, with how many of its APIs and services they depend on."

there is youtube but i don't have an account on there and i use a vpn and strong adblocker so i don't see any disadvantage to that

I like turtles.

Again, not on a personal usage level, but like for developers. I feel like it'd be easier to list a website I didn't use Google service(s) in creating, especially given how essential Analytics is in this line of work.
