The floors are mostly dry now.  The water soaked through the floor, dripped into the basement, and went down the drain on the basement floor.  I'm just worried about whether or not mold is going to grow somewhere and make me sick.

ugh i was puking all day yesterday and still feel like shit. got one of those headaches from being hungry and dehydrated, since i ate basically nothing yesterday

so glad i had already planned to take today and tomorrow off work
ugh sounds like you had a migraine.  I get those about once a week.  I have a prescription that I take and it's the only thing that helps.  It's non narcotic, it just stops the blood vessels in your head from expanding and causing pain, nausea, vomiting, etc.  It's called Sumatriptan.

i figured it was more because i hadn't eaten anything, but i guess it could have been a migraine. yesterday it felt almost like i had a fever (although i didn't), was shivering all day and had to crank my heat way higher than normal.

feeling a lot better today though, thank god

hmm are migraines caused by stress? cause that would explain it
I think lots of different things can cause migraines, but I hear the most common cause is dehydration
red chamber dream
ah that was probably it then

so is migraines just another word for headaches?

I thought it was some kind of genetic disease that causes affected people to get regular headaches.
red chamber dream
that's what i thought too, but i think it's possible to get a one-off migraine

anyway, dehydration is the best explanation i can think of. it felt similar to when i got dehydrated in korea, that was kinda scary
I heard dehydration causes headaches. The link to migraines is news to me.

It's a different kind of headache.  It often comes with nausea and vomiting (for me I always puke when I get one). Some people have auras / blurred vision.  Extreme sensitivity to light.  But tylenol or aspirin don't work.  Even morphine or narcotics don't work.  There was nothing that worked until someone discovered a drug that works to shrink the large vessels in the brain that swell when you have a migraine.
When I first started getting them, I would be out of work that whole day, at home puking, unable to see very well, absolutely miserable.  It was happening frequently enough that it was affecting my attendance at work.  Nothing worked on them.  Like, nothing.  I even tried illegal drugs - no effect.  The dr. gave me a pill and the next time I felt one coming I took it - and it was like a miracle.  It worked!  I mean, it was like magic.  I had tried so many things before that.  When I went back to the dr. I told him it was like magic and he said that that meant it was a migraine, because that's what those pills work on.  They don't do shit for a tylenol headache, and vice versa.
If I get a normal headache then I just take advil and it works fine.  They're totally different than a regular headache.  But I never heard of a regular headache making people puke, so that's why I assumed ark had a migraine - he puked.
that's good to know. never heard that migraines had links to stuff like that.

I had a case once where I had headaches and blurry vison. That might have been migraines then…
I only had the aura once and I had no idea what was going on.  Scared the crap out of me.  I didn't even have a headache, and all of the sudden I see this big white blob in my left field of vision.  It got bigger and bigger until I couldn't see anything out of my left eye.  Then it got smaller and smaller until it disappeared, and then right after it disappeared I instantly got a terrible pain in the back of my head that lasted a few hours.  It felt like my brain was going to burst out the back of my skull.  Thankfully, that never happened again.  The ones I get frequently don't have auras.  They're usually behind my eye(s) and come with tons of vomiting, that is if I don't take one of those pills to prevent it from getting to that point.

Yeah I always found it kinda silly when people were like ~ohhhhh I'm having a migraine right now it's sooo baaaaad~ and its like, no, you have a headache. I've only ever had two migraines, and one with the aura you described. Mine was slightly different but also in the left eye and it looked like a cheerio ring that slowly got bigger then shrunk down then the immense pain started. I couldn't even ride my bike home that day, it was really bad.
One shall stand, one shall ball.
I mean it's hard to really know what a migraine is if you haven't had one. It's easier to relate to really bad headache over headache so bad you want to actually die.

omg conference call from hell.  I;m trying to play Dark Souls and work at the same time and this angry exec guy is screaming at me - and I have to ask him to repeat what he just said.  lol fuck that guy I'm busy here.
it's no wonder you have bad memory about the games you play if you're busy with work at the same time
I usually don't play when I'm working.  Today's just one of those days when I just don't wanna work, you know?  Some days I'm just not into it.  I just don't have a passion for supporting salespeople.  Weird, huh?

nonsense, work should be your life!!!!!!
