it probably looks worse than it is, most of the wires are buses that just carry multiple bits in parallel
I've been testing it all night and there are some problems, so I'm trying to decide whether to add more hardware to work around them, or just scrap the VGA and redesign it. it wouldn't be too painful to do that, since I can just reuse the parts I already have

OMG this is the morning from hell. The HUGE fish tank leaked while we were in bed. The mid level of the house is soaked, the basement has water in it and everything touching the floor is wet. The tank belongs to my sweetie and I've always told him that I wanted nothing to do with it because it's a pain in the ass. Now we're fighting because I won't act like this is my problem. Plus, he plans to repair and refill the tank. It weighs 800 pounds easy, and the floor it's on is already bowed - and now the floor is wet and thinks it's a good idea to put an extremely heavy object on it? What could go wrong? The drama never ever ends with this one. It's like he just can't stop making terrible decisions and then acting surprised when bad things happen. Not sure how much more I can take.
