yeah haha that's exactly why i love him. i think he's supposed to be that campy and over the top, it's hilarious. and when you think about it, plenty of kids his age really are that pissed about everything, and he did have a pretty shitty childhood. so you know, it makes sense within the story too.

i think azula sort of was the final boss - for the characters besides aang. in a way i think of katara and zuko as the two main characters in terms of advancing the immediate story, whereas "aang has to stop the firelord" is just the overarching plot. keeping azula more grounded instead of making her the super baddie just worked for me (would she have even stood a chance against aang in the end?). ymmv of course

This is correct. His thing throughout most the series is incredible self righteous fury. It's well justified, if misdirected, but playing it for mostly laughs instead of just milking it for ~Deep Brooding Dark Character One Billion~ was pretty much perfect. He's the most serious of the main characters, but someone has to be really mad about the silliness of the people around him otherwise it's just a bunch of aimless silliness. He's pretty much the best non-Iroh character.

I am firmly in the Zuko's story is more interesting than Aang's and Zuko Alone was the best episode camp. Cause I'm cool. Cool

hmmm aang is my favorite character overall but zuko is very close. pretty much any episode with a lot of him is going to be a good one.

Well the fact that it's Mark Hamill does make him a lot cooler, but in the end he's still a pretty shitty character as far as I'm concerned. Meanwhile, Azula is a mad badass who has all kinds of things going for her. Basically, Ozai is the equivalent of Ultimecia in FFVIII. Sure, he's the true final boss, but in the end I don't really give a single shit about him.

Also, Appa is the best character in all of Avatar, no questions asked. After him it's probably Iroh.

nah, i mean, appa is definitely awesome, but aang is like, well sort of like calivin from calvin and hobbes, except nicer maybe. but he's usually treated almost like a child by his friends so when he talks he sounds innocent and naive, when he's really pointing out everyone's faults ... he's the voice of reason

that one only takes 240p and 480i signals.

besides, i'm selling that anyways. just replaced it with a larger low res monitor (since it was pretty cheap and i should be able to sell my old one at a gain). using some funny software to make a pc output even 480i or 240p i could emulate it on that one though. there's just no point.

i also got a 21" professional use crt vga monitor for relatively cheap. http://www.ebay.de/itm/251045511548

i bid on this since i wanted one for 480p gaming. at that time i didn't know i could get the 29" monitor for free. the thing will be interesting to fiddle around with though. will probably be nice to have around.

btw could anyone tell me how exactly using a capture card works? it's about time for me to get into this.

i know they got some inputs to feed the signal into, but what does happen then? do they just transfer the picture to your pc monitor so you can use software to record the video or do the cards record the video on just using their drivers?
if it's the latter case, does it just record and have output ports to connect to the monitor/tv that is used to show the picture, or does it make the picture show on the pc monitor andrecord it on its own?

i'm getting interested in this because the monitors i use all have output ports and i wonder if i can make some use of them
