Oh man that feedback thread is real good. I mean I'm not surprised at all at how bad these guys are at communicating with attendees and such, but I am also surprised at how bad they are at communicating with attendees and such. It's fascinating.
I juts never figured they'd have people showing up not knowing if they were even going to be able to run their game. I mean that just absurd.
Also some runners apparently being put on some sort of watchlist by the staff with no opportunity to defend themselves or open any sort of dialog is hilarious. gg nerds.
Yeah there's balancing act, and that's where not having people who can clearly explain things bites them. If they can't explain themselves, and it appears at times they just refuse to rather than fail to, people are gonna have a lot more to say than they want to hear.
Realistically anytime a charity event involves paid staff people are gonna have some questions. Responding with "Well, some get paid some don't." doesn't answer any of them.
I have been wondering for a while when the donation total would not exceed the previous year and that seems to have happened this time. that's probably the point at which you want to stop trying to make it bigger and better and try to focus a bit more on what you're actually doing
Man I love introducing people to the GI Joe PSAs. It's like a certain kind of humour that fits so well. It has its borderline racisty sorta humor, but not quite bad enough to make your mom scowl. And they manage to not dwell on jokes too long.
