red chamber dream
but they're pretending they're not, because they're in the pockets of lobbyists for rich corporations and the people who run them

that's all you really need to know
Not impossible
just highly unlikely
We need to Make America Great Again.
One shall stand, one shall ball.
Quote from DJGrenola:
if I didn't know better I'd say you had a few issues with how your great nation is being run

A couple!
red chamber dream
and our middle class is full of fucking idiots who won't do anything about it because they don't understand anything, or don't care
red chamber dream
and i guess the low class too which is basically the same thing these days
well political apathy affects just about everyone who's a bit too contented I'm afraid, that's not an American thing

so who's running what? obvs the president is a democrat, are the other branches pubs right now?
One shall stand, one shall ball.
To an extent there isn't really anything they can do.

I mean once the supreme court says a multinational corporation is as much a person as you are all you can really do is shrug and laugh.
red chamber dream
for the past years the pubs have controlled congress afaik

the supreme court i think is even now, if scalia is dead

would be so great if another could get another nomination in
red chamber dream
basically the only time anything changes in the us is when one party has the presidency and both houses of congress
red chamber dream
and even then republicans try bullshit like raising voting thesholds, so now you really need a gasp, supermajority
One shall stand, one shall ball.

Not impossible
just highly unlikely

red chamber dream

red chamber dream

One shall stand, one shall ball.
The fact that voting often comes down to who we think is less bad is telling.
Not impossible
just highly unlikely
Every candidate is a pile of garbage except for probably Bernie Sanders. Ron Paul seemed alright-ish but he dropped out.
red chamber dream
i think a lot of countries have that problem too, but here it sucks because you only have two choices, realistically
red chamber dream
americans love choice, except when it actually matters
One shall stand, one shall ball.
Or if it involves fetuses!
red chamber dream
oh man oh man i'm so happy scalia's dead

what a fucking scumbag waste of oxygen
funny how those famous checks and balances basically seem to mean now nobody can ever actually do anything

red chamber dream
i think it's a good thing to some extent

but lately it hasn't been working very well
red chamber dream
ideally you'd have legislatures full of reasonable people who can make compromises, and that has happened in the past
One shall stand, one shall ball.
It works when the people making decisions aren't insane. The problem is to get votes as a Republican you basically have to be at this point.
