Jane’s Intelligence Review in 1999 suggested that victims of red mercury scams may have included Osama bin Laden.[20]

Probably the U.S. government too. That's why they believed the middle east to be in possession of nuclear warheads some years ago
One shall stand, one shall ball.
No they believed that because they desperately wanted it to be true. If you put together your intelligence on the based on creating an excuse to do what you're gonna do you can discover some amazing things!

man i still can't get behind the premise of batman v. superman

i don't really care what the comics tried to do, there's no way batman would remotely stand a chance if superman actually wanted to fight him ... so the story has to be pretty lame
One shall stand, one shall ball.
Nah dawg Batman totes has a chance against a guy who can throw you into space faster than you can blink.
One shall stand, one shall ball.
Close in shot of Batman reaching for the kryptonite in his belt, he pulls it out, camera pulls back: Batman is on the moon, roll credits.
Not impossible
just highly unlikely
I hate hate HATE superheroes fighting each other. It's always so contrived. I'm not looking forward to Civil War either.
Yeah batman is in the shit
One shall stand, one shall ball.
I mean realistically these are people that solve their problems by beating the fuck out of people so I guess it makes sense that they can't just take five minutes to talk shit out.
I might put a fiver on batman tho because the odds on him will be great

People love Batman to beat Superman because he's the underdog and everyone loves to root for the underdog.
Also superman is a dick

It's practically a forgone conclusion these days that Batman will beat Superman anytime they have to fight, which is just absurd.
One shall stand, one shall ball.
I guess if you approach it from the idea that Superman doesn't really want to serious damage to Batman there's some chance there. But in the trailers for this one he's straight up shooting lasers at Bats so welp.

Yeah, this is a Superman who was willing to level his own city to take out one guy. He should have no problem just throwing Batman into space or something.
superman is a pretty flawed character really

in the sense that he's not flawed enough
One shall stand, one shall ball.
I mean being able to come up with a solution to stop the nearly unstoppable is one of the cool thing s about Batman but this is Superman, being actually unstoppable is sort of the point.

The answer is, as always, robot suit.
One shall stand, one shall ball.
At least in The Dark Knight Returns it doesn't actually work. :v

It's weird how DKR started the trend of Batman beating Superman, but people always forget Batman's plan in that was: hold out for a few minutes, fake heart attack.
is that Supergirl reboot any good

Not really. The actress playing her nails it pretty good but it's overall pretty rubbish.
the 1984 film wasn't the best either. actually thought most of the performances in that weren't bad but the script was just lame
plot boils down to two women fighting over a man. which is sort of amusing but no premise to hang a feature film on
