I'm experiencing an even more accelerated version of this with the site I'm working on now, having started it a few months ago with a knowledge of PHP limited to what's in the Codecademy course (still not great at it), literally no knowledge of SQL, and shaky HTML and CSS. It doesn't help that I picked the project up at the halfway point from some guy I've never met who was doing it before. It probably would've been easier to do more of it from scratch.

The irony of course is that parenting is usually a big part of the problem, but I suppose it's easier to spit on twitter than it is to build some sort of properly socially cohesive neighbourhood
