There's apparently one puzzle Jonathan Blow claims will take hundreds of hours to solve. It's probably some ridiculous cypher bullshit like Fez. Still, the idea of an open world puzzle game in this day and age is pretty cool. I don't think I'm interested enough to plop $40, but maybe I'll snag it on sale.
That is way too much effort to put into a game. If I want to waste time learning a new language with no practical use, I'll learn Tolkien elvish. At least a few people speak it.
yeah I reember a long long time ago my older friend had it playing on TV but I remember a lot of tits and I was pretty young so I figured I wasn't supposed to see it
I still wonder how that show ever got the green light with the current state of the industry. Sturgeon's Law has always been on maximum overdrive when it comes to anime, but Christ is it hard to find anything worth watching anymore.
I dunno, the only two shows that caught any positive attention for me last year were One Punch Man and Death Parade. I guess there was also Fate/Stay but that story went to shit hard in the second season.
Unfortunately the industry seems to be getting the hang of how to make promotional adaptations, the latest examples being OPM last season and now Erased. They have great animation and direction, but only have 12 episodes. OPM just adapted parts of the manga, while Erased is trying to cram all 7 volumes of manga into 12 episodes, and for how much they have to cut, it's doing a good job having it still make sense so far, though it's only 4 episodes in. Not sure which approach is more disappointing. You could at least laugh at/ignore the terrible adaptations of the past. Now they just give you a glimpse of something really well-made and then you're left lamenting the fact that there wasn't more of it.
I feel like the best faithful adaptations come from manga that already finished their run and can be fully planned out as a project. Monster and FMAB were like that and they both turned out amazing.
Just bought a new monitor (NEC EA244WMi). Got a very good first impression so far. I configured the settings to be the exact same as my other, monitor (EA223WM), and it's displaying a MUCH better picture. It's just what I was hoping for. On my old monitor I had to use text mode at low brightness settings all the time to get some contrast, otherwise it had a super flat picture with no punch whatsoever. It was super useless for anything but writing texts lol...
