hell back in the runescape days we used a pascal-based thing for writing scripts based on color clicking and it worked pretty well. I actually knew that pretty well but it's so dated and I figure learning something else would be for the best

Quote from BioSpark:
both can do what you need. i like c# mostly because i'm more familiar with it

yeah I mean both are popular enough but someone wrote a pretty specific guide for programming it in python so I'm like okay welp
lol pascal

I got distracted with reading old scams in Runescape and holy shit this is the best:

The Black Hole was a place where the banned players went. The banned player had to stay in there until their ban lifted. Many users broke the rules to see what it was like in the Black Hole, so Jagex made it that by buying a Disk of Returning, an unbanned player could visit inside of the place, and interact with the banned players. Many of the banned players said that if you drop your disc, something good will happen. When the unbanned dropped their disc, then the banned will pick it up and teleport out of the place, and leaving the unbanned inside of there. They had to wait until Jagex rescued them.

Not impossible
just highly unlikely
You'd have to be pretty gullible to fall for that, it seems to me.

yeah pretty much. I got scammed a lot on there for trusting people too much on the internet. It was better to learn it then than later, I suppose

jaykay this is like the best tutorial I could have asked for for this sort of thing:
http://code.tutsplus.com/tutorials/how-to-build-a-python-bot-that-can-play-web-games--active-11117

actually kinda fun to read cause of how well they explain it all
I never got caught up in any of that stuff, mostly thanks to my dad being a programmer and knowing all the bullshit people have pulled over the internet.

I wonder how much flack MIT has gotten over the years for condoning shit like that.
I don't think they condoned it, it was just some dumb kid

Stupid coworker stories: an email was sent out to employees across the country advising that one of our offices affected by the storm was experiencing a high rate of absenteeism today.  One of my coworkers expressed that they thought this email was very insensitive and offensive. I asked them how they think it should have been worded.  They replied, "They could have just said that a lot of employees weren't able to come in today."

I have no clue wtf this woman thinks the word 'absenteeism' means, but apparently on her homeworld it is something offensive.  Someone please shoot me.
