I mean I'll have friends in the area too, in fact Spidey-Widey will only be a handful of hours away, so I'm hoping to get some people over to make it a bit cozy.

Quote from DJGrenola:
I find making friends much harder than most people though so I just sort of ended up accepting being on my own all the time, it does massively fuck with your head though, easy to get paranoid

Yeah honestly being alone with my own thoughts is pretty terrifying since often times I go into a very self-destructive mode if I allow myself to think of myself for too long. Pretty much the only way to kill it is by putting on some shows or podcasts or streams or something to make noise and listen to. It might be something I want to pursure in the future to get help with but meh, I like to think it's a temporary thing
I think that's very common, ubiquitous even
I like to think that most people would just crack if they spent as much time alone as I do but I've felt lonely my whole life so I'm pretty well conditioned to it by now
plus I'm at least half insane

It definitely builds up strength somewhere, or at least makes one pacified to those feelings. Honestly I feel like humans can be conditioned to become used to anything, as long as it's gradual enough, and depending on their mental fortitude
easier when they're younger, but yeah, I think you're basically right
I mean it's the principle on which psychiatry is based, that the mind is reprogrammable

I've always wanted to take some of those classes in college, just to learn more about it, but I feel like I have a decent grip on it already but I don't wanna be one of THOSE people who think they can mentally asses other people
Not impossible
just highly unlikely

Adam
yeah when you think about it that guy was abandoned by his parents as a baby, no wonder he came off the rails
Club 27 Goals
like, from the adam's family? I have absolutely no clue
actually he was never a baby was he, oh well
no I think he's referring to adam from the book of genesis

Biblical Adam. God made him out of dirt. He technically had no father.

If you want to count god as his father though he had some pretty major daddy issues.
dude sacrificed one of his own ribs for a girlfriend too, that's some desperate behaviour

<lenny henry> imagine if you could do that today? lonely, ugly guys would have no ribs left, they'd hardly be able to stand up

on the bright side of moving, a female friend of mine up there who works at this like, crafty type store (hobby lobby I think was the name) told me she wants to help deck out my apartment with like, some sort of cool theme. She sketched out some ideas on paper, there's like these LED plant things that glow colors, she wants to hook up some black lights for the ceiling, and some badass warlock-looking tapestry stuff on the walls. So that seems pretty fun to look forward to

That sounds big pimpin'.
heh, not like anybody wanted to do anything like that for me when I moved in here
was just me on my own like it always is
Club 27 Goals

i'd be tempted if the US immigration service wouldn't turf me out 30 days later :P
