hard target's not that great, it's just a very stock van damme film and he was much more of a martial artist than an actor, lance henriksen as the villain is pretty good though
hard boiled is probably the most ridiculously over the top action film I've ever seen, that one is worth a watch, probably the genre distilled to its purest form ... also a bit different from hollywood stuff since it's a hong kong film
I have not seen Hard Boiled, but I have played Stranglehold, the official video game sequel to the movie. Which is so bizarre. How does that even happen?
But you can build up a special meter and then at any time go into slow motion with doves flying everywhere. Wherever you are, it doesn't matter. Doves will be there. It is the most John Woo thing ever.
Early this morning I had a weird metroid related dream. I dreamed that I was playing a new 2d metroid game, and it was awesome. It was basically super, zero, fusion, and original metroid all in one game. There were ports located in the game that took you from one game to the other. You had to get one power up in the fusion universe, then warp to the zero universe to get the next power up, etc. They were all interconnected in one huge map.
it was, basically a half dozen of the most highly skilled musicians you're likely to encounter
you never know with marcus quite where he's going to land on the jazz/funk spectrum and this was a tiny bit more jazz inflected than I would have preferred, but still he's one of the most highly regarded bassists there is, so still well worth seeing
