sure, the dark knight looks flashy but i have no interest in the characters/story
it does bother me how people think grittier interpretations of characters are necessarily better, it seems to be a curious disease at the moment
keaton's batman was definitely darker than the camped up adam west interpretation from the 60s, but it still had that comic book styling about it which the bale films have dropped
i mean they did have to reboot it somehow because the 90s sequels backtracked on that and did start to head back into adam west territory
Hey, at least Dark Knight Rises gave us some pretty dank memes, right?

definitely everyone i know who's around my age is pumped for star wars. i just never really got what was so good about those films aside from the technical stuff. that said, i'm sure i'll see it at some point just because of the people i hang out with

Well, cartoons and comics can get away with more camp than movies in general.
well sure, film is a different medium, but if you go too far down the omgdark route you just end up stripping the thing of all its charm
I mean, I think Heath Ledger did a pretty good job balancing drama and camp with his portrayal of Joker.
i don't think I've seen that one

Apparently he improvised a good chunk of acting in this scene, too.
The demolition crew was apparently late with the detonation of that building so Ledger improvised fiddling around with the bomb switch on the spot.
Just as well really, haha
That does look a bit more interesting than batman begins which seemed really ... I don't know, just dull

Not dull as in boring but lacking in imagination I guess
I remember the batmobile from that film, I was just sat there thinking how unremarkable it was compared to the 1989 one

i loved batman begins but didn't like either of the sequels much. not sure what that means other that batman begins is the only chris nolan movie that i actually like
I like turtles.
So I found and tried out this recipe for a carb-free (okay, technically just really low-carb) eggnog.  It's at least as good as any version of the "real thing" I've had, maybe better.

Looks like nog's back on the menu, boys.

wait

how is carb-free egg nog even possible lol
red chamber dream
i mean alcohol has a lot of carbs by definition

I like turtles.
Not all eggnog contains alcohol, and not all alcohol has carbs anyway.  Granted, I don't usually enjoy alcohol enough to bother with anyway and up until recently I was on a medication that stopped me drinking it.

ah damn i love champagne, guess i should drink even more!
red chamber dream
anyway i don't see the point of drinking non alcoholic eggnog

milk is a better choice at that point lol

It's kinda weird because as far as comic characters go, Batman is probably the most suited fro a more grounded style of movie/tv show but on the other hand if you aren't going to have a kickin rad batmobile what are you even doing? Goofy humvee knock off was maybe the worst attempt at a batmobile I've ever seen.

i dunno, i loved the batmobile in that movie

granted, i first saw it when i was a teenager
