Feels good cutting toxic people out of your life. I've been looking for ways to surprise my girlfriend and help keep her happy while she's stressed out from school abd stuff, and generally really upset. I asked one of my long term female friends qhat she thinks I should do, and she starts sending me paragraphs on Facebook messanger about how I should break up with her, how it's so obvious she's lost interest in me since she's been so unhappy, and how it's so obvious she's been cheating on me, and going on and on about how she just can't and won't ever learn to appreciate me or what I do. I had to tell her to just fuck off and blocked her.
yeah, she ended up texting me later apologizing about it. She recently had a boyfriend leave her for a younger chick, and absolutely hates younger girls now (she's like, 24 or 26 now or something, and the waifu is 19). We talked a bit more about it, she didn't want to end our friendship because of it.... but then still said I'm a dumbass for staying with her. I laid it out pretty firmly that I like her being my friend, but she needs to stop bringing that shit up. All i got was "okay but I told ya so".
I also didn't know it, but apparently she went through a divorce when she was young too, and has had some rough stuff.
Finally seeing some light at the end of the employment search tunnel. Part-time retail + part-time/freelance copywriting for web with a local design company. The former is boring but the latter has some room for possible growth into regular full-time (and therefore quitting the former). But most importantly, I can start socking away income with the eventual goal of my own housing.
lol. i love articles like this. it's not like the oed is any kind of authority ... a second meaning for "literally" exists whether the oed lists it or not. who the fuck cares about english dictionaries
