okay so I kinda figured out the server issue I was having. DJ you were right about the blank user thing for sure, I looked around a bit but couldn't find much, so someone else helped out and found the culprit.

so uh, I guess I'll edit it to refer to a user and... see what happens? I emailed the developer about this but it's been like 3 days now so I'll just muck around and see what happens.

I came down with a bit of a head cold yesterday and usually I'm semi-miserable for three or four days when that happens. Today a steady intake of Zicam and green tea, and I feel like I've almost licked it. Either I got lucky or the removal of carbs from my diet has done my immune system some favors.

Just got myself a decent job. working on building computers, selling parts and computers, and got to meet some of my new coworkers today. Right from the start they were talking about motherboards and some gaming stuff.
The lady that interviewed me didn't seem very impressed at first for some reason, but as we talked more and more she got a lot more comfy with me, and by the end of the interview she was telling me "yeah, normally we have follow-up interviews, background checks, and training, but you seem more than qualified so we're gonna hire you today. Also since you have a lot of experience already, we're going to bump up your pay". Fucking stoked. It's only $14/hr but fuck, she said I could easily transfer to an outlet up in Wisconsin too so my girlfriend and I can live by her friends and family and she can keep going to college. She said by that point next year my pay will be bumped up, and since rent is so cheap in Wisconsin, we can probably afford our own comfy apartment.

yeah, and plus there's a 24/7 live stream, so there's people who watch and intently follow, and generally the cast will say a bunch of hateful or racist things, but it's never shown on tv ... so what the majority of viewers get is a whitewashed version of what actually happened in the house.
survivor doesn't hide it, it fucking highlights it. if the players say dumb shit, the show will totally focus on it and have the host address it at tribal council. <33 survivor. it's always been about the people themselves, not the game.
