I've been in a really weird mood all night where I feel SUPER fucking motivated to do... something. anything but I cant think of something.
One shall stand, one shall ball.
Quote from DJGrenola:
don't worry, they have more to worry about with ethnic minority kids building clocks

Well look he wouldn't explain what the clock was for!!!
haha it just reminded me of that roger mcgough poem
oh ok the internet claims all sorts of other people wrote it, weird, I'm positive it was mcgough, it's his style all day

is he a bitter person? or is it just humor?
no, it's just his sense of humour

quite a bit of his stuff is quite sick in that way that children really get into, similar to roald dahl I guess, quite grotesque in places
and, you know, just fairy tales in general, they're full of really grim stuff

ah gotcha, interesting. Reminds me of when I used to read Pholph, it was all about that sorta thing. Hell, the opening story arc is about a kid going to school, shooting it up, and dying, then going to hell and meeting all the wonderful sin down there. Just lots of grotesque themes, hell, etc. I re-read most of it again recently and I missed a ton of other themes and imagery, but considering the first time I read it in middle school, I'm not surprised.
violence and death is really funny to children. adults always forget that. parents particularly.
i don't mean actual violence and death obviously, but in stories

it's odd, isn't it, how that sort of thing appeals so much but for a majority it just kinda... stops being interesting. I guess that's just part of growing up and going through phases or something? Or it just something you get used to? who knows, I'm sure there's giant novels written about it.
just emotional development I suppose
if I see tom and jerry now I just feel really sorry for the cat

ah, that's always a quote I love hearing, something along the lines of "Childhood is rooting for Jerry, being an adult is feeling pity for Tom"
