Not that anyone cares, but omigosh one more day of work then 12 days of hell. I prep for surgery on mon-tue, then have the operation on wed, then I can't eat solid food for a week. All I can do is eat jello and broth, and scream on the phone to my doc that the pain meds he gave me don't work because I'm already tolerant. My anxiety level is through the roof. gah

so for some reason I was imagining a scene from a movie where a dude ties a tie (like a business suit tie). I wasn't thinking about it too hard, then I thought about it again, and I suddenly realized I was imagining this dude putting on a tie and tying it up, without actually knowing how to tie a tie irl. I played it over a few times in my head, and I saw the motion of it like perfectly. I looked it up on youtube, and sure enough, somehow my brain subconsciously stored the ability on how to tie a tie so well I could do it by memory, without ever having done it.

But this also fascinates me because I wonder what else I've subconciously learned without realizing, or further more, what else I COULD learn just by watching it.

I think back to my League days, where I'd watch pro players playing over and over all the time when I couldn't play. I wonder now how much I learned just by watching other people doing something over and over. Brains are weird

things are a bit mixed here, I have a broken tooth and have to wait a month to get it fixed so I can't chew on the right side of my mouth and I'm in pain

i've done a lot of looking back over my school days, and there are so many occasions when I got blamed for things which were actually just teachers being petty and childish because they had their own issues

yeah, reminds me of when my buddy and I would use the computers in graphic design class to mess around with. We knew they got reset every time they shut down anyway so we would just see how much we could mess around with.

Teachers are just humans too. When I used to teach science at the elementary school, I really got to re-witness that first hand, it was really eye-opening

yeah and some are more human than others

unmarried men were generally the worst and I can see that so much more clearly now being in that position myself. but if you can't stash that stuff away and not take it out on kids you probably shouldnt be in the profession
