oh, we drink plenty of whiskey too. we have a joke in the office that our company is like the mad men of the 21st century—the engineers are like creative on mad men, and then we have an accounts side where the "pretty people" work ;)

also i had a whale steak tonight which was pretty interesting. it's like beef steak with a faint liver taste. pretty good stuff!

Another example of painful stupidity, and why I just need to never talk to my coworkers:
This lady I work with is constantly talking about how much she loves amaretto. Amaretto creamer in her coffee, amaretto cakes from the grocery store are her favorite, amaretto shots - all things amaretto. Then today she said she hates nuts. I then said 'Except almonds, of course.' She stared at me blankly, then said 'ESPECIALLY almonds. I hate them the most.' Not sure if she was joking, I said 'You love Amaretto, but you hate almonds?'
'Yes. Why?'
'Because amaretto IS almond flavor.'
'No it isn't.'
'Yes....it is. Always has been.'
'Nuh uh!'
'No need to argue about it. You could just google it.'
So she googles it and then says 'Well THE GOOGLE doesn't know everything anyways!'
Where do these people com from? Why are they allowed to vote?

yeah, well that's my other theory, most people are kind of dumb. the problem with that is that it seems to mostly be restricted to certain cultures, like america, which leads me back to thinking it's a parenting problem, or i guess more generally a cultural problem. if people don't care about learning, they're always going to be ignorant
Yeah like maybe the parents never instilled any curiosity within their kids. I think you're right, cultural. Enough about that, though. I was already typing about it when you posed about vigeland, and that's MUCH more interesting than the stupid lady I work with.

It's interesting to hear different reactions from people. Religious people become uncomfortable, which to me is so sad because they're just naked smiling humans. How can that be bad? They're ashamed of naked bodies and they sexualize nudity - even nude children. It's really sick, and sad. Reason # 987,213,496.3 why I hate religion.
