you know what would be really rad as a game for mobile devices? Tamagotchi Pokemon. You could level them up with games and evolve them and do all sorts of stuff, and it could count your steps to get more points. It'd be like the pokewalker, poffin game, and that new thing in X/Y all combined, on your phone.
How much legal trouble could I get in if myself and some buddies actually made this secretly and just distributed it secretly until it got popular. Like how hard could they trace that back. Just host it on a couple offshore servers, share it around /v/, wait for kotaku to make an article about it, it could gain some traction.

wonder if we'll see pokemon on phones

I suppose it depends on how keen nintendo are to keep making handhelds
Awhile back they said apple's iphone was their biggest competitor for handheld gaming, which makes sense since kids can just play minecraft and shit on their phones now
yeah there's plenty of emulators on mobile devices now, you don't even need to root/homebrew/jailbreak your phones to get them "legally" through the app stores. It's super easy to play pokemon on mobile devices, if Nintendo/GameFreak published them officially they'd make a killing
hell just look at Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy that got released on mobile devices, those were a huge hit. Even Baulders Gate is on mobile devices now.
my guess is nintendo will use phone games to introduce kids to nintendo properties with smaller games, but the full experiences will be on the nx, which is both a console and a handheld
Hmm, very interesting. Wonder how soon we can get some leaks about it. It seems like the WiiU didn't release that long ago, and it's finally starting to get profitable from what I heard.
