like, arcade board as in the kind you install in a coin-op arcade machine?
yeah

SF2 in the arcades was my life for a good few years and I sort of want the memento
Do you have an arcade machine to install it in?
there are a few on ebay going for a few hundred dollars, they're somewhat common I guess, every time I look there are one or two available

no, I don't, but you don't need one, there are solutions to hook them up to controllers / TVs / monitors (although actually building a cabinet would be another potential project)

If you shell out a few hundred dollars for one then I would hope that you actually use it to play.  It's a cool momento but it almost seems a crime to just shelve it.

Googling how to use them now.  I thought you had to have the arcade machine.
there were TV interfaces for arcade boards way back in the day as well, they used to be called "superguns" for some reason

opium yeah I guess I just sort of want to secure one so I know I have it

they're also kind of a good investment in a way I guess because they're only going to get more rare going forward
but they expire! lots of capcom hardware self-destructs (loses its decryption keys) when its onboard battery runs out!

so you do have to look after them, although there's a guy now who claims to have completely broken the security on the capcom CPS-1 'B' chips so maybe dead boards will soon be resurrectable
I would love to play the arcade version of Rastan.
I remember that game, I think I played the megadrive / genesis or maybe the C64 port
I loved it in the arcade, but it was expensive.  Deaths came often.  I could never afford to play too far into the game.
Superguns are still around. I bought one (new) just this january.
ooh ooh, what boards do you have?
Super Secret Area - Dead Ahead!
DJ, if you're into the older Street Fighter 2 stuff, have you ever watched the origins videos?  I think the original guy's videos are down, but this user has them.  They were a great watch. aiwebs_004

frankly i'm surprised, but fuck yeah
I'm relieved
I'm surprised that you're surprised, it didn't sound like the police had a leg to stand on
red chamber dream
yeah, but that never mattered in previous cases and our government is fairly corrupt

i'm always surprised when justice is served in cases that actually matter, because it rarely is
One shall stand, one shall ball.
They'll get off. Our juries are fucking stupid.
