well there's research been done on this, can't remember now but I think most children start laying down proper memories at about 6 or so

well a lot of things are choppy for me but i remember very specific things from age 4 on, not much until late elementary school though

My earliest concrete memory is playing with a plastic key and watching Cartoon Network in an apartment back at Kiev.

Club 27 Goals

1-3 is pretty blurish
4-7 is when I start to have more distinct and coherent memories
8-14 is when I have the most abundant memories, very long ones too. It was probably mostly due to switching schools every year, so I have lots of memories of each school and different people.

Heh, I only made one school switch (aside from elementary-middle-high transitions) in my childhood.

I remember my first day of school. Didn't talk to anybody and ate some weird chocolate things with paper round them without removing that paper for the first few.

Maybe I was a dumb kid.

If I moved school every year I don't think I'd remember shit, but then again I remember quite a lot and I went to five different schools between 4-16

I'd think changing schools would make you remember more things, since it's a new setting, new people, new environment + atmosphere, etc
