The things we use, clothing, TV's, pencils, paper, everything, comes from nature.
Your wallet, your expensive shoes, your amazing wardrobe, comes from nature.

But it's the final product that counts ;)

technology and nature are the same thing. beavers build dams. we build skyscrapers. that's nature.
Chooser of the Slain
The final product, indeed. But try to think like an alchemist, everything is made of "materials".
A person's "materials" would sound like a cooking recipe.

I don't see your point.

Exploring in forests is pretty much one of my most favorite things to do.
One shall stand, one shall ball.
the point is nature is awesome
it sounds like people have been reading my writing.

if they haven't then even better. ;)

I used to like doing that, but for reasons other than appreciating nature.

I do it because it's pretty relaxing, and you never know what you might stumble upon.

Well, I'm a mole, I barely go out of my room unless it is necessary, could be because I'm sensitive to the sun, lol.
I also have black curtains to protect myself from "natural light", that may explain I am so pale.

I live 10 minutes away from the beach and I don't like going there :/

I don't enjoy the beach much either, unless its for like a bonfire at night with some friends.
Chooser of the Slain
I would enjoy beach if I government kept it clean.

Yeah, and recycle everything! Also, bring back prison chain gangs to do all the clean-up.  Non-violent offenders of course.

Yeah, I've found diapers, syringes, condoms, bottles filled with pee (judging for the color), feces, SEVERED HANDS, and a dead ballonfish (practically doesn't belong to our area).
Acapulco is a filthy place, not only that, the hotel's "blackwater" (sewer water) goes STRAIGHT to the beach.

The policemen patrolling in the beach by night are also other kind of mugglers, they try to momentarily "arrest you" to touch you (because I'm a girl, they want to touch bewbs) and see how they can apply the con-artist game with the people passing by.

Enough motivation to never touch that beach again. =3

Yeah, and don't require the highschool kids 40 hours of community service in order to graduate.

My school has a backwards-stupid rule where you can't do more than 10 hours of the same community service thing, or if you do only 10 hours will count. Make the ones that have shitty grades do the community service, it's not like it will be far off from what they'll do later in life anyway. Hey, they'll even be able to say they have experience! But at least leave the ones who actually have GOOD grades and/or a JOB. Working for my mom I could $600 in that amount of time, and I wouldn't even need to leave the house. Instead they want free, easy, manual labor for the "COMMUNITY". Yes, I mad.

Happy Burn a Koran day.

Sarcasm. In case anyone hasn't heard, some crazy church guy decided to have a "burn a koran day" on Sept 11th, today.
Chooser of the Slain
Funny day, by the way.
September 11.
wait, did something happen today?
Chooser of the Slain
Let me put it this way: 9/11.

Wait!  I thought he called it off because he met with a local (Islamic) Iman and got a call from (I think) General Patreus(sp?) to not burn a Quran for the sake of the troops in the middle-east.

I had been discussing that in various other internet venues the other day.

First off.  The burning of the Quran (according to "Pastor" Terry Jones) was to (essentially) tick off Islamic extremists.  But you know what....?  There are non-violent Muslims that would be offended at the burning of the Quran too.  And that was his (the "pastor") only motivation.  To intimidate and anger...  Not giving any heed to any possible implications or backlashes.  He said he wasn't going to back down, but after being persuaded that it wasn't the best (nor brightest) thing to do (for the sake of the troops occupying/fighting in the middle-east) he Thankfully changed his mind.  I believe there was also some silly "deal" with the people putting up that Islamic...  center...  thing -near Ground Zero- to have it relocated further away.  I believe it's current location is 2 blocks away, but there's also some other Mosque that is 4 blocks away and it predates the construction of the WTC.

There have been several news broadcasts of interviews with people wanting the Islamic Cultural Center (which includes a mosque but is not SOLELY a "mosque") ..moved to another location, and they were asked if ______ was far enough away, and everyone that was asked answered that it still wasn't far enough away from Ground Zero!

IMO - The people wanting to put up this Islamic Cultural center are doing some arm twisting.  They know they have the right to put it up and can't legally be denied that right.  They might have the right to - but it's a very awkward and perceived as troublesome to more people than not -that would rather it not be there.  Ironically, there were some Muslims that were killed in the WTC on 9-11 too.  It's just a bad idea any way you slice it.

The same thing goes with burning of the Quran....  Or with any other religious text.  It's freedom of speech...  But, in this case, there are too many people that would be offended by it AND there would be negative repercussions.  So it's a bad idea too.

But really.  What would burning a Quran do to hurt anyone?  What if it was done in secret?  Or burning a Bible?  The ideas and principles of those who follow whichever book can't be destroyed by a mere "demonstration".  I'm not saying burning a Quran is bad or wrong, and I'm not saying it's good either.  It's the purpose behind the act.  That can be 2 things.  You hate what some book says, or you're doing it to provoke those that believe in it.  The latter is what that "Pastor" was trying to do.  And I don't believe that's right.

Blessed are the peacemakers....
Chooser of the Slain
It's the same as saying: "Let's burn the Bible because it's full of lies" - Atheists wannabees.
Being completely illiterates and deciding to burn the Quran is... well, ignorance.
I'm glad that 'Pastor' decided otherwise.
