If I was to make a list of the most awkward situations I could think of, meeting people I've known online for years in real life would probably be near the top. I guess it's mostly because the way I act online is nothing like the way I act IRL and I would feel like I would be completely ruining the image people had of me or something.

it's not that bad. although i guess i hadn't really talked to most of the sda people at the meetups before so it didn't even matter. i also don't act much different online than irl which helps.
