learning chinese has really helped me with kanji, like i intended. it's amazing how easy it is to look things up and guess meanings just from radicals.

@ tdk go for it! the problem i have with first semester is you don't learn any kanji, but i guess i'm not the typical person taking the class so i shouldn't have any say.

gugigayo is the best word.

i'm taking both 2 and 3 next semester since she doesn't offer 3 again until after i would have transferred. i got a 100% in the class, and she was like "umm are you sure you'll be ok?" oh japanese people.

well knowing kana is just like knowing the latin alphabet. it's nice but you know, doesn't really mean anything until you learn grammar :P
