@ fork very cool! i've only been to texas, oklahoma, kansas, nebraska, california, arizona, illinois. but getting out of the car in oklahoma was only for taking a pee break and i was only at the airport in illinois.

No, but having warm weather all year round is.
When it gets into the 30s and 40s in CO, it doesn't feel that cold since the air is so dry.  The sunshine in summer is very intense though because the atmosphere is thin in higher elevations.

afaik humidity just makes it feel more uncomfortable. i could be wrong though.
No, humidity = WET cold, which is pretty unbearable in the 40s even.
