I mean like for me, yeah I could say not having had any kind of role model or supportive figure in my life has made me the negative, jaded dick that I am but, like, I can't deny that I had a significant role in it as well.

The whole concept of being blind is really fascinating to me. Like it has to completely change how the world simply exists for you and there's probably no way to really describe it to someone who isn't blind.

We're so dependent on using how something looks to describe it, how do you perceive things without that? Even something like a dog has got to have such a different meaning to someone who can never see one. Might as well be on a different planet, speaking a different language.

Well I mean you don't want to go around picking them up if they're in the wild. Fuckers don't like that and are gonna try to bite the fuck out of you. But it's not like oh god run help snakes. They don't have any reason to chase something they can't eat.

lol I think Fear Factor did a bunch of things with snakes like that and I was always like "dude so what?" while grown men cried like little babies because they had to touch a garter snake.

speaking of I found a 1.5-2 foot long garter snake in our backyard yesterday. picked it up and it didn't seem to give a crap, so I put it on the other side of the fence so the cats wouldn't try to get it.

Garter snakes may be the least aggressive animals you will find. And if it was colder outside most reptiles will be pretty passive simply due to the lack of energy.

But yeah garter snakes kind of just don't give a fuck.

man talk about a bipolar day. deperessed as shit in the morning, then in the afternoon I was just plain pissed off (been a few years since I've punched a wall from being mad), but now at night I'm just relaxing listening to some MSI and Bloodhound Gang.

we also got this really nice strawberry vodka that came in a sweet disco-ball style case.

I love snakes, and thank you for not saying 'garden snake', as that would make me want to kill you.

It is weird tho think about how being blind would change the way you think about things. I think being deaf AND blind would be so fucking weird. Being born deaf would take away your concept of language - and we use language not just to talk but in our very own thoughts. I really don't understand how Helen Keller went from a drooling trog to an author.

to be completely and totally honest I would rather die than be blind. To be cut off and shut off from the world like that would be more like a torture. But maybe I only think that because all of my hobbies need eyesight, and you also kinda need eyesight to talk to online friends.

i think once your other senses begin to develop more it wouldn't really be so bad. the hardest part for me i think would be just finding stuff to do all day. can't play games when you're blind. ;(

haha my mom. I finally layed in bed around 6AM becaused I couldn't get tired last night even after drinking a bit and doing mundane things like raiding in WoW, but after laying in bed for an hour my mom comes down and is like "you're a useless shit, everyone around you works hard, so you're not allowed to sleep during the day. Also I turned off the internet".

Fair enough I suppose. She also ranted at me to "fix" my shitty resume, but it's kinda hard considering I've only had one job my life and don't have anything special I can put down. Or at least not for some basic job.

yeah I guess I should try harder at that. I have a bad habit of just not trying. Sometimes it seems silly since I fully plan to just off myself at this point, but now it just feels like I'm waiting for a good excuse to do it. Everything is just so damn negative lately, it's been increasingly harder to get happy about things I used to really enjoy. Kinda feels like my mind has gotten numb and the only things that really give me emotion are pessimistic thoughts and ideas. My dreams have also taken a weird turn lately, I've noticed a theme of people getting lost or dieing.
