why so slow? it's not like where you live has laws mandating a 56k connection (in ontario, there's a town called uxbridge that actually has this law in effect. I am dead serious.) unless the network is being difficult. in conclusion, that kind of connection would make me cry.

yeah, that's probably because IE sucks. Maybe there's some new fandangled browser out there.

Does this board have a spell check option? I've seen one in other boards I've been to. I guess it kinda screws up some posts though, like marks phazon wrong or something.

You are correct; to enable it in Safari, choose Edit>Spelling (very bottom of menu)>Check Spelling as You Type.  Red dots will then appear under misspelled words in any online form, and if you press command-shift-[semicolon], a dialog box will pop up and give you possible correct spellings.  You've probably got it better with Tiger though…

But no, this board does not have a spellchecker, sorry. Not that I'd really want one - it'd get annoying marking "Phazon" wrong and such, like you've said.

Nate could edit the HTML of the site so every post message screen has one. However, he could an "allow word" option by using C++ of CSS.

P.S: What "upgrade"? A few days ago the forum was restricted and it said there's a new version of phpBB.

Um no.  See, the spell checker is built into the operating system on our computers, not into the website or anything like that.  Also, I can easily add words to my dictionary by clicking the "Learn" button found in most spell-checkers.  The only things I don't add are instances where the BBCode and words are jammed together and end up forming strange combinations of letters and brackets.  It doesn't refuse to let you post when you don't have all "correct" spellings though.

Me too, but I definitely noticed when it didn't automatically log me in twice yesterday.  And that was after I logged in once and checked the "auto-login" box.
