I'm surprised nobody has mentioned this yet.
One shall stand, one shall ball.
It was not mentioned because xkcd is awful.

There have been a couple good jokes somewhere in there but overall there is way too much a sense of "look at this geek humor, ha ha" mixed with "lonely computer nerd romance" ideology.
I like it. Confused

See this guy here? He gets it. He knows what's up.
Almost happy

Nah, it's pretty sweet.
Not impossible
just highly unlikely
Not every joke on xkcd is a home run, but I love how his brain works.

xkcd sucks has been far more entertaining for me over the last few months than the comic itself.

I've most commonly heard the wikipedia thing referred to as the Batman theory, as if you keep clicking, you'll eventually get to Batman.  I guess it can work with anything popular enough.

did that once went from metriod to the Golden Gate bridge XD
i went from love to metroid fusion once.
Believe it or not that's actually a floppy disk.
Did you go back?

From this one:
Quote:
The Lord of the Rings chart, covering 1000 pages of novel as it does, is of course the most impressive.

Clearly, he did not look at the comic very closely, because the LotR chart is based off of the films, not the books. If for some reason you ignore the heading which says "THESE CHARTS SHOW MOVIE CHARACTER INTERACTIONS", then the easiest way to see that is so is by checking the time of Saruman's death, which in the chart (as in the movies) happens near the end of The Tower Towers (Isengard Flooded) whilst in the books this happens near the end of The Return of the King.

Thus, I declare, someone should make a blog along the lines of ""xkcd sucks" sucks", if only because meta-anything is inherently funny.

there are a few others that are like this and go beyond this, but they're all pretty dumb and pointless.

heh, it's also worth mentioning that the post comments are as much as part of the blog as the posts themselves. they've built up a small community there.
Okay.  Turns out the girl that quit did so because the boss insulted her...  Said she was "unprofessional".  This stuff goes on all the time, so it must've been the last straw.  She was willing to come back, but now they say they don't want her back because she walked out without anybody else there that was in charge or that could handle what to do with the guests.

I can not understand why they can't see the damn pattern.  If you piss off your employees they're far less likely to want to work for you.

The newest girl that has been working evenings is going to be trained for the morning shift here in another 5 or so hours by the boss.  I really should say something to the new girl when they're both here....  Like, "I hope you'll like working the morning shift.  I'm sure you will, up until the time (the boss) insults you after so many times and you no longer want to put up with it and end up leaving.  Then they can look for someone else to train all over again."

I mean...  God!  The boss was even crying when she came in yesterday.  Yet, I doubt it's because she knows she has a shitty attitude and zero empathy towards other people's feelings.

In other "news" I'm going to be working 7 nights straight until we can fill in the other shifts.  We're supposed to have 5 people, but now we only have 3.  Me, the other lady that usually works on my nights off (she'll be covering the evening shifts), and that new girl (to work mornings).

Maybe I'll just leave a simple note.  "Maybe if you didn't insult people they wouldn't want to leave."

Fuck 'em if they fire me.
or you could take pity on your boss and remind her how high unemployment is atm ...
Wow! Nate seems to work very hard transferring from old m2k2 to new m2k2.

What.
Is it because "Viewing" also lists people who set their online status on "hide"?

So, this will be a new m2k2?

ryu: users with their status set to hidden don't appear on the viewing list
aigamer: yes, this is the new m2k2

ah, my mistake. this is actually intentional (hidden users are supposed to appear under viewing). this means it works exactly like irc; no one knows if you're online unless they're actually talking in a topic with you.

we'll be introducing other options for this as well, don't worry. :)
