I still don't get why Sakurai never thought of shrinking Ridley. "He is too big!"

i don't think i would want ridley on smash, i already think bowser is strange enough, as a boss he is awesome, but as a playable character would be too strange...

Adam on Smash. His special attacks would be Restriction: It stops the opponent from using their attacks without his authorization.
I don't know if anyone else picked up on this, but Adam's being a dick to Samus the entire game.  He locks/opens doors for her, authorizes her powers at bizarre times, etc.  Oh, and at the end he apologizes for being "so rough" with her.
Phoenix
But Samus doesn't mind because she likes it rough. winky

I lol'd.

"Samus, I see your being attacked through the glass...... I suppose I could authorize the Wave Beam for your convenience.... After I watch you a little while longer..."

I don't know about that.  She took it in the back from him near the end of the game.  Almost killed her, too.  She was gasping for breath afterwards.

EDIT: Now that I read your post again... you get it.

That wouldn't be his Special Attack. It'd be his Final Smash.
I got my new issue of Game Informer in the mail today.  They really blasted Other M in the reviews section.  They gave it a 6.5/10 and basically complained about everything.  This is really sad to see happen to a metroid game.  :(
If you read the review, you'd understand why they can't be trusted for game reviews.

i haven't read it but it sounds pretty spot-on to me. other m is my least favorite metroid game, after even echoes and corruption.
He says combat basically devolves around you running around enemies and shooting them to kill them, which is far from the truth.
Well, you CAN fight most normal creatures that way, but it certainly isn't the fastest method we've found.
I mean, sure you can, but he says that's how it ends up.  I doubt many people will play it that way, especially since after a point that tactic make it impossible for you to progress.

What about Hunters? Hunters is my least favorite Metroid game.

That's more or less how I played the later parts of the game - run around until Samus dodges, then fire. I remember there were some enemies that couldn't be hit until after dodging them.
I think I'll try that out.  Maybe it'll make the game interesting/challenging again for a 5th playthrough.  I've earned the right to be burned out on this game, but I still like it a lot.

I get the distinct impression he never played Fusion.

Maybe they put a bit too much on the table at once for Samus.  Then again, there were times I wanted to know more about the whole Samus/Adam dynamic.  I'm starting to get the feeling that the next game is going to conclude some Adam Malkovich Trilogy here.

We still don't know why Samus looked up to him (was it an unspoken bond?  Then what was the connection? What made it so strong?) and if it was some kind of unspoken bond, it didn't come off that was as one.  People say Samus comes off as a weak-minded person in Other M, but I don't really buy that.  She probably would've killed herself by now if that was the case.  She has even more reason to do it after Other M because of what happens.  Maybe that's why she got that thing in the end, to prevent her from pulling the trigger.  Who knows.

Well, at least we know why she hates taking orders (as said in Fusion).  This game kinda gives us that.

I like the game for what it is -- the style of gameplay and the challenges in it.

The story doesn't complement the game. I for one don't acknowledge it in the Metroid storyline (silly? I don't care).

The guy talks as if he had it all figured out and that people are blind to the merits of the game and are making useless controversy.
